I have a question about the cloak. What does it stack with?  If it stacks with certain spells, I could use a couple of those for the characters I already have SMILEY

Great Promotion BTW SMILEY

I have a question as well.. what if you have Station Access? Do we lose out on the free month because we play more than one SoE game?

Asking and I'll get back to you

**Edit

Station Access accounts will get the free month just like anyone else does.

I'm not certian what stacks with the cloak, I'll keep trying to chase it down.

I just have a couple of questions (we've been debating this with some veteran EQ2'ers over at EQ2daily) and wonder if you can confirm them for me.

1) Is the 3x XP for the recruiter only earned when you have recruited 2 new players (ie you do not get it for the first one).

2) Is the 10% mentoring XP bonus only for when the recruiter is grouped and mounted on the new mount, or can they just own the mount?

Thanks in advance, I like this scheme a lot too, I will have to see if I can use it to lure some friends in here SMILEY

MurFlad, I've done a single referal so far.

The 3x XP works for both parties for your first referal.

I'm not sure on the mount thing but I'm guessing it will have to be ridden. With my runspeed I would take one of those cloaks with a mentoring bonus on it, if they stack. lol  Now if my friend will just subscribe I could tell you for sure about the mount.

Oh and Keepr13, I haven't seen it myself, but I've heard from guild members it is 55% and 10% exp

Yes it's 55% run speed and 10% combat experience increase.

For further clarification - mounts are for recruiters and cloak is for recruits?  Is this right?  Too bad both parties don't get each.

Considering they give the recruited account a copy of Rise of Kunark, paying $15 USD for the mount is basically what you would be doing if you recruited yourself a second acct.  Pay for 1 month subscription, get the goodies, cancel the 2nd acct after the first month.

And yes, the same cc can be used to pay for as many accts as you like.

I recruited a freind and they converted by going out and buying a retail TSO box to a full subscription including entering their credit card information for recurring charges.

I have not gotten any benefits and it still says they are "trying game"

Seriously where is my stuff?

Maybe you should read the FAQ in the link provied in the post you quoted.

When and how will I know if my Friend converts?

Your account interface will show you the status of your invited Friend. Once your Friend converts in the qualifying time period, it can take up to one full bill cycle to confirm payment and be added to your account.

and

When Will I get my Mount, Station Cash and LoN Booster Packs?

You will receive your Mount immediately upon the successful conversion of your Friend to a paying subscriber. This could take up to one full billing cycle. You will only be granted the LoN and Station Cash rewards for the first converted Friend you have. For any additional conversions you will receive 1-month of gameplay each on the back end of your subscription and your choice of one of the two mounts.

So it could take upto a month to get your stuff.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

If I have a Station account = $30/month

I recruit a friend and he/she converts to a regular account = $15

I get 1 month free & all the goodies even if he/she cancels after a week or 2?

It's been over 24 hours for me and no mount.  Is there any notification of this when it is credited or do I need to just keep checking my /claim window?

Regarding the free month and Station Access.... does that mean those of us with Station Access get the entire cost free or will we just get a $15 credit and have to pay the balance?

I have a question. I invited a friend (me) logged into that email and clicked the link. I followed all the instructions created a new Station account went through all the steps. Yet in game when grouped normal mentoring xp was there no bonuses. Also when I looked in to the refer a friend account options earlier the email was still listed and now it is blank with 20 chances to refer and not the 19 it was at. Did I somehow blow it? I even followed the dang step by step listed in the knowledge base to make sure I didn't miss anything.

The lacking cohesion and coherency behind this program is reprehensible, unacceptable, and thoroughly, inadequately handled on terms of SOE. If you don't follow the exact, step-by-step instructions, your chance at receiving the rewards from this offer could drastically drop. There are multiple occasions where you can "click the wrong links" which result in your invitation never updating its status from "Invitation Sent" to "Trying Game". http://www.tinyurl.com/recruitafkb is the shortcut link to the knowledge base entry made on this exact problem.

E-mails aren't flatly linked to your account once you send the invite. It's this convoluted, arbitrary process that needs to be completed properly. When your invitee activates the trial as mentioned in the knowledge base article, the invitation status will update IMMEDIATELY from "Invitation Sent" to "Trying Game". After they subscribe, it can take from 3-24 hours depending upon what time it was when they subscribed. A full billing cycle is typically within their normal business hours, not the misconception people have made about rewards not arriving for up to weeks or months.

All in all, this needs to be revised so that this process is more user friendly. I have two invitations that are still not yet fully resolved and it's been over 2-4 days. These players were paying subscribers and now they have no promotions and are stuck in the trial phase.

Now I don't understand.  My page has never updated from "invitation sent" to "trying game".  In fact my friend played game from station launcher and has the promotion cloak from /claim even though my invitation still only says "invitation sent".

Something here is amiss and I concur there is seemingly a step missing in the instructions provided following creating your station account and prior to playing game through the launch pad.

For instance the instructions provided state only two steps as follows.

"Create a Station Account Click here to create a Station Account and activate your EQII trial.  Download Station Launcher Install the easy-to-use Station Launcher application to download and run EQII."

But the KB article states you should first be redirected to another webpage - reenter your login details and then get the launcher.  Too bad this step is not clear in the instructions in any way, shape, or form.  This is obviously how these are "activated".  How is it not plainly obvious that one can perform the two steps provided in the instructions independently of this CRUCIAL step?

Aye I found out too late the first invite I sent wasn't activated. Too bad I had all ready jumped the gun and added it to subscriber status. Now that I know what to look for on the recruitment page I can see my last two have gone through just fine. They are showing trying the game instead of invitation sent.

I think the first may have been an email error as I wasn't logged in to the Station prior to verifying. The first time I verified from email it got an error then I logged in and it went through. But it never went through for the invite just for a trial period.

I can completely confirm if this works in game when grouped with both accounts it is 200% xp + 5% xp for being a friend + 5% xp for mentoring. Then of course another 10% xp once you have the mount. This is instant so if you group and this does not show up as 200% xp in your adventure bars it means it did not go through. I thought it had yesterday since the  cloak and xp potions were available but that is for anyone using the trial and subscribing.

You have to wonder why something thoiugh, that should be so simple is messed up like this..frankly i dont think that my sons or me for that matter will get our rewards..in short its a bit of a poor show.

And yes i followed the KB article to the letter.

Not impressed at all.
