![]() January 21st is National Hug Day................wouldn't it be nice if /hug was put into emotes at that time? I really miss not being able to hug. (and, you know, sit and lay down)

![]() /hug is an option, and is also in the socials/emotes window. Always been there. However, there is no animatin to it. |

I /hug my friends all the time in the game. There is no animation, but the emote is there. As for laying down, you can't really miss something that never existed. |

![]() Doh! I know that you can do a scripted hug, I want an animated hug. As far as missing something that hasn't been in the game....

![]() Some may not be practical, and none are likely to be included, but animations I would *like* to see included: Sit (chair) Sit (cross-legged) Hang Head Down Lay Down (back) Lay down (side) Cross Chest Salute Sword Salute Kneel (one leg) Genuflect Hug Dance (male) Dance (female) Dance (partner) Drink (one hand) Drink (two hand) Limp Hobble (crutch) Hobble (age) Sleep (snore/no-snore) Lean Play (guitar/mandolin) Play (piano) Play (flute) Play (drum) Play (bagpipes) Play (fiddle) Character Creation Additions: Breast Size (tired of having all female characters look like they are on the swedish bikini team) Facial Blemishes Limb Thickness Additional Hair Styles Wider Age Sliders (for adolecent to elderly) In-Game features: Copy/Paste feature for in-game scrolls/books Bards compose in-game music Wouldn't it all be lov-er-ly, but I'd settle for sitting in a chair. |

![]() They will never add anything like this. The game is dying.

/sarcasm on The only game that, apparently, isn't dying is WoW. What kind of coffin would the rest of the games like? Would EQ2 like fae painted on theirs! With sparklies?! Huh? Huh?! /off Though seriously, early /hug to the OP! And yes, I'd love it if it had an animation, I don't see a reason to have emotes with no annimation. This is one fo the onyl games I know of/have played that has emotes with no animations (and a lot of them!). /votes for more animation!

![]() I think the reason why we dont have an emote for hugging others is because there's too much difference in height for races. It would look rather odd, even for a video game, for an ogre to hug the airspace above a gnome. |

![]() I read somewhere, I can't recall the source, that to remain viable and profitable, an MMO needs to keep it's subscription rate at over 50,000. The last figures I saw were around 200,000 for EQ2, and between 175,000 and 200,000 for EQ Live. I think there is still life in both games, though a bit of reorganization will inevitably occur. Heck even UO still maintains sufficient subscriptions to keep on going. I don't think the sky is falling just yet. |

Yeah, it would be akward but at least it'd be there. DDO is odd too, ever see a warforge (their largest race) hug a halfing (their smallest)? It's odd and weird. But it would have something. EQ2 is just lacking in animation in general I guess.

Hey thanks for being so optimistic! You're getting the year off to a great start. I will give you a congratulatory /hug. Your post is the first troll of the year! /hug /thumbsup /cheer /clap On topic: I wish there was an action for /hug as well. It looks kind of silly to see 'Yolanda hugs so-and-so' on the screen, yet my character just stands there. I wish there was an animation for /rofl too. The funny thing is, during Frostfell you can see several elves 'rolling on the floor laughing'. I see them every year. Yet, we never got an animation for it. I believe I read long ago that it was supposed to be included but there was some issue with certain races and the animation...so they scrapped it. |

Yeah, you've been saying that for how long now..? Is there a reason you're still around? Heck, I looked back in your posts to be sure I was thinking of the right person, and you cancelled your accounts back in August.. or, guess not. I don't think this is the pectfect game for everyone, so why not move on to something else? I can't imagine paying for something I hate so much, and spending time on it like you do. |

![]() Actually I think they're throwing a tantrum (though they would look very similiar). Our avatars are sending mental hugs! In their minds they act it out, but physically it's awfully hard for them.

A: Unfortunately not. A /sit system and guidelines didn’t exist before art began production long ago so there’s a ton (understatement here) of variety that cannot be accommodated for without rebuilding every item to conform to a new system. If we ever did add this system, it would likely be forward thinking (new items would adhere) as retro-actively speaking, this type of addition is near impossible." |

![]() This is the only game I've played that does not animate /hug. It feels so empty to hug and not hug. I think it was said it was in beta as was ROFL. Don't know why they didn't allow it in game. Probably the same thinking they had with using only dull armor colors when game was new. Gaaaah I remember begging for some color for clothing. Anyway, it would add soo much if they would finially let us see /hugs.

![]() I ended up doing a lot of hugging this weekend (7/9th done w/ the crafting portion of my sage epic). My High Elf hugged a Fae, a Dwarf, a pair of Woodies, (a woodworking table, a chemistry table... too excited to target correctly) and a Snarak, as no one would accept anything more for their troubles (guildie or ally). I actually got thanked for the hug by my guildmate carpenter as Snarak "rarely get hugs." Needless to say, my hug reptilian guildie is going to get LOTS of hugs this coming year. It would be nice if we could get animated hugs for our scalely-guildies, proper wiskers for our 'Tongas, and put a stop to the painful and humiliating declawing of Iskar/Kerra that result in the barefoot horror known as 'sockfeet.' If there was an end to any one of these forms of racial discrimination, I would happily do my dreadfully ackward looking /dance emote in celebration. |
