![]() I'm fairly certain this is a newer quest.. when I took my swashy through Everfrost a month or so ago, I don't recall Faddar Walgrave giving out a quest at all. My problem is that I cannot figure out where the second update is. I have pretty much literally walked and swam in every inch of Everfrost and even in its instanced zones, yet I cannot get the quest to update. Has anyone else had this problem, or have a clue as to where the update is? The only "clue" is areas with spiritual energy, so I've tried the sunkun Halasian shipwreck area, the broken wizard spires, the entire pathway where the icy frights and constructs are, Undertow's cave, anywhere there are gravestones including the island near zone entrance... and that's about where my spiritual ideas ran out. After I exhausted those, I just started running around everywhere. Any help would be appreciated. |

![]() Hmm, might need more detail on which quest this is, but I do know that one of the 'new' EF quests that asks for the source of the spirit gets updated exiting the tunnel into the cavern where the constructs and ice frights are (it's an auto update). It sounds like you have done that, so you may need to delete the quest and try again, or maybe bug it/gm. I did this quest just the other day and it worked. If that's not the quest than will need more details. |

![]() By new, I don't mean since the zone was revamped.. I mean within the past week or so. I did the entire quest line with my swashy and never encountered this quest before; alla's and wikia also both have nothing more than what I've figured out thus far. I tried what you suggested and ran back and forth through Icewail Pass and Icewail Cavern etc, no update. = Here's a screenie of the quest I'm referring to, however: |

![]() Well, last night I took my 71 swashy out there (she had completed all of the new Everfrost quests before, but alas, this must be a new one because she hadn't done it!), and, if you can get awards for literally running over every inch in Everfrost, I'd have a new trophy. I determined the first update was from a blue glowy shimmer near the World Root Tree. I proceeded to run around, under, and up every land surface, then bought some fish vision totems and looked in every bit of water in that zone. I even ran behind the 55 epic x2 guy in Guardian's Gultch, thinking maybe they had a cruel streak in putting it in. I'm absolutely baffled. It's like the next update spot was never put in. Is there some hidden cave or something in Everfrost that I'm missing? |

![]() I forgot to check my quest logs this morning I'll try to remember to do so after work ... I thought I had done this but now I'm not so sure. Sounds pretty frustrating though ... |

![]() I've been doing the same thing with my coercer. I got the first update easily, but I'm completely stuck on the second. Neither the wiki or ala's has more information on it still, either... so it seems like a stumper. At this point, I'm wondering if despite it saying that it's Everfrost, if it really is. I'm about to go searching through instances and Perma. Hell, I'll go peek at the collapsed Blackburrow tunnel and the graveyard in the Steppes, at this point. As if it's in Everfrost, I have apparently gone blind. >.< Although it really sounds like it has to be Everfrost... Gah, just a minor hint would be nice. |

![]() I checked Miragul, Sepulcher and Icespire instances, couldn't find anything there. Have scoured the riverbed near the Permafrost entrance (seeing as there are sunken Halasians I figured there may be something there) but still haven't found anything. Gonna mooch through Permafrost in a bit.. I suspect we're either missing something really straight-forward or the quest isn't complete yet (could be something to do with the new instance as well.. Scion?? Not ran that yet) update - have now checked Permafrost too.. I guess the update is in a diff zone entirely! In which case the quest description is a bit misleading. |

![]() Have you tried the ruined village in TS? Remember in EQ1 the barbies had an outpost/village in West Karanas

![]() I'm so glad I'm not the only one stuck on this... it is very frustrating! The feeling of something being vastly incomplete is disappointing. = I also had checked the instances, though not the new TSO one (did run all around it though) nor running all the way through Permafrost (my troub wouldn't have lived). I'll try your idea DrkVsr and see if it's in TS. Logging in at the moment, will edit with an update after I try. EDIT: Nope, it's not the Coldwind Shore Cemetery in TS. Either way, unless the quest description, current zone indicator, and what the npc tells you are all completely misleading and incorrect, it *has* to be in Everfrost. I honestly can't think of many landmarks in that place; to me the next logical spot would've been somewhere like Icewail Pass or the sunken halasian shipwreck. Or, even the frost covered grave area. However, several of us now have ruled out these areas along with countless other spots in Everfrost, so, as much as I hate to say it, I think this quest is broken and incomplete. We better start /bug reporting it. = |

![]() Oh my! Sorry guys, this quest snuck in but is not completeable. It will be finished off for the next game update but for now, you won't be able to get any further on it. |

![]() Heh. Over on Kithicor yesterday, a few of us were talking about it in /2 (which on Kith, anyway, seems to be just the random talk/chat channel). That seemed to attract attention- in the end, there were around 16 people in Everfrost, of all sorts of levels, crawling around. We were convinced that it had to be in Icegill Lagoon- the Tribunal spawns there (and was actually up on Kith yesterday, to make things even more amusing- 'What, one of your pepole's god's Avatars are hanging around and this isn't spiritual enough for you? Stupid barbarians.' I'm kinda glad to know it's not in, at least- that means the whole server isn't blind. |

![]() could this maybe be leading up to a new zone? maybe a new good starting zone? maybe a new BARBARIAN starting zone? it'd be sweet to see this turn into a new world event and maybe give my barbie shaman a place to call home. (^_______^)

Hah, that explains a lot. Thanks very much for letting us know, I'll stop going crazy in Everfrost now. At least I finished the turtle collection on my two higher chars while trying to do this, so I guess it was time well spent. |

As I look to the gathering crowd, I knowtice that some are carrying barrels of tar and goose feathers. Figures a darkelf would keep us barbarians running around for hours on a in-completed quest. I would love to see my home city some day return to Norrath, that is for sure. Don't care if its in-habitable or not, but if I could see it I would camp out everynight before I logged or if able to live in I would finally move out of my 5sp apartment I bought 4 years ago when the game first launched. |

![]() So, the test server now has the LU51 update on it, but since they're all going crazy over melee changes, figure I'd revive this thread. Does anyone know if this quest was fully put in for LU51? |

![]() Please pleaseplease let us back into Halas. While I don't actually have any Barbarians, I've been family to enough that one or two of my Elven toons may have to move to Halas just to honor, now fallen, Barbarian loved ones. Please bring Halas back, it was my favorite 'home zone' from EQ1. Even just so I can visit, I just this zone sooo much. |

![]() Might I suggest, for those that have gotten the quest, to /test copy their toon and run around and see if you can get updates? Places sacred to Barbs, it says? may I suggest the temple of marr. maybe the fallen and the forgotten in CL? Perhaps the fallen statue on the coast of Ant near Caltorsis? those are places I'd hit up first. Unfortunatley, I don't have my comp to d/l the test updates at the moment. Is worth a try though |

![]() Just but there was some vauge statement along the lines of it possibly not even being actually on Norrath (or maybe that was Odus...so many lost cities). I would be quite surprized if areas sacred to Marr had updates. The Tribunal was the traditional Halasian god (and yet again, I have the half formed memory of one class of EQ1 Barbs - Shaman, Rogues? - being able to worship someone other the The Hammer). |

![]() I haven't tried it yet myself, but random suggestion - in the poem released last year for Erollisi Day, Heart of the Hound, the two lovers fled to a sacred crystal. Assuming the quest is actually activated with GU 51, I'd try that ice crystal that's the zone-in to the TSO instances. |

![]() Ah, that would explain why I had no chance to remember them being able to worship Marr... I've totally repressed any memories I've ever had of the class that shall not be named & do not even exist. I tend to think of Barbs as the kid who turns his back on his parents as soon as he can get out of the house, where as the Frogloks are the good kid who stays at home and works the family business. Marr maybe effectively be the parents to both races, but only the Froggies really seem to care. So a Marrian location might be 'historically significant' to the Barbs, but 'sacred' suggest to me that it is a location tied to their beliefs (in the gods they worship). |
