Yes, the game was there this morning and i have my disk ready to go!

Of course the activation code doesn't work yet, it still says it's not valid, so no bear in game yet, but WOOT... the hours are ticking down

Aye, I now have my two copies of the new lands complete with two small pewter bears. If I talked in geek speak I'd be saying Gamestop ftw, but I don't so I'll just say I got em at Gamestop. Don't two box, one of these is fer my kid, so no requests fer the extra pewter bear as most likely between the wife and kid I will not get either of em. Such is life when ye are Lord and Master in yer mind only.

GameStop seems to be the only U.S. retailer with the correct release date information. Best Buy has the boxes but is convinced that it is not sellable until Wednesday. A memo from SoE last week could have cleared this up. SMILEY

It is Tuesday. But Best Buy has it in their system that it's not until 11/19, so they're not selling any until then. =

Check your local Gamestop, if you have one. My wife swung by ours and she was able to get the only two copies in the store today, the day before release.

Ok so the code isnt supposed to work yet? Are we for sure on this..as my copy the seal was broken of course I didnt realize until after I got all the way home. If this is true though will wait until tomorrow to try to use it again...if not I have another 45 min trip to the mall. /sigh

Hmmm, no pewter figurine in mine. Just picked mine up from Gamestop - had ordered it on Oct.17 so I would be sure to get a copy. Did I get ripped off? Called them back and they said all their copies were like mine, just the cd box. Friend said he picked his up at a different Gamestop today and got the cardboard box WITH the figurine.

There have been a ton of posts about the pewter bears. The nut of it is a certain number of copies of the retail game (bought in a store or preordered from a retail store) have pewter bears in the boxes. After those are given out as they were ordered or whatever other method the store decides any other boxes will not have pewter bears. It is possible that a set store, in a chain of stores, might get more of those pewter bear boxes and another get less or none. The store where I got mine (both copies were preordered 3 months ago) got 6 copies of the game, 5 which had the pewter bears and one which didn't. They only had 4 reserved as preorders so 2 of those 6, including one with a pewter bear, are sitting on their shelves waiting to be sold. I like the pewter bear figurine. It is nicely modeled and very solid. Sadly I have until schools out to enjoy it. After that I am sure it will go where all such treasures go when they enter a kids room. Finding the bear a day from now is a quest even I won't take on.

The person at Gamestop almost gave me the plastic boxed version, I then saw that he had a small stack of about 4-5 cardboard box copies. He easily switched the two for me.

Weird that your Gamestop only had the straight CD variety.

i got mine today!! got my lil pewter bear!! SMILEY when i first when in, i said i was there to pick up my pre order. first the guy said it wasnt out yet...then the manager happned to be standing and overheard, and told him it was in the locked drawer, and had to unlock it for the clerk. so im guessing some of the gamestops, keep their pre orders safely locked up, and the younge boy quickly appologized for his confusion and handed me my copy. but then again, this store is less than 3 mos old. heh. the bear is NICE! and heavey! hehe and very well done! also came with the poster of Anashti on one side, and the Ethernauts on the other. not bad!

Depending on where it is made, pewter is likely to contain lead. I wouldn't be giving it to the younger kids to play with.

These days, metal miniatures have as much lead in them as a plastic miniature. IE none. Companies had to change to a new mix several years ago due to legislation. Which is a bugger, as the newer stuff is so much harder to cut if you're converting them, but it can retain a higher amount of detail if original sculpted that way. And the lead content of miniatures before the enforced change wasn't enough to get folk suffering lead poisoning anyway, unless they ate several of them, which would more likely cause a problem with a tiny sword in the throat. One would have to go back decades to find a miniature with enough lead content to be a problem.

AND 30 & 90 day games cards

SOE made a $180 sale because there was product to buy , this time.

I got a Pewter Bear to! (/cheers). Living in Belgium, Europe, it was'nt that obvious that i would get my hands on one, but i did!

I must say, i ordered two copies of the game, and got only one with the bear. But i can understand they tought it was an order for one person only and they gave everyone the chance to get a figurine. Pity it is'nt so, i ordered a copy for a friend of mine to, so i guess we'll have a bit of a struggle over it SMILEY

And i am very pleased with the service of Gamestop! The shipping was yesterday, and i already got the package. Good job! I will recommend Gamastop to everyone!
