It was noted yesterday. http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=432261(oh, and this really isn't a gameplay issue.  The thread yesterday was put in a better suited location to start.)

I know it's not gameplay related, but they got rid of the Message Board Issues forum a long time ago.

You mean the Forum Help and Discussion Forum? SMILEYIf someone is advertising via a PM or post on the forums, report it to a moderator.  From what I have seen, plat spamming on the forums is handled pretty quickly assuming a moderator knows about it.

I'm going to go ahead and leave this here.  I just ask that everyone try to keep it to the already open threads, here, in the forum help and discussion section, and the one in the NGD.  Too many more than that will be a little hard to keep up with.Everyone is being awesome about making sure to PM me and I think I've gotten all of them so far.Make sure you let me know if you get anymore.  Thanks!!

Well plat spammers are nothing more than rats and cockroaches looking for places to nest.  They've nearly been rooted out of EQ2 thanks to the filters so they are having to resort to drastic measures such as spamming on the forums.

Just keep reportin those PMs to the forum admins and those little cockroaches will be stepped on and the rats on the other hand will be dealt with by "SNAP" traps.  Too bad EQ2 doesn't endorse public hangings like another forum I visit it would be good entertainment.  "Please visit" *DRop* *Snap/Crack/Pop* and just watch the feet dangle in the wind. SMILEY

haha, I just got the mail and I love it. No, I don't buy plat or powerleveling services. I'd say about 10% of the gaming population visits the forum and they believe they will get better response from PMs on the forum than in game spam. It just goes to show you that SOE's efforts are working!

I also recieved a Private Message on these boards a few days ago (I got the email telling me I had a PM waiting for me), and it was from a plat seller.

Imagine my chagrin when, upon realizing this was spam-trash, I also discovered there was no 'report this message' link accessible from the message screen itself.

Epic failure indeed.

QFT

Ihad to track down what the alias was for reporting inorder to report it. It should be EASY to report spam mail, this I am assuming is just the first wave.
