My memory is pretty hazy from eq1, but wasn't Innothule Swamp south of South Ro?

This got me wondering... remember that when DoF came out it was hoped to have more big outdoor zones than just SS and PoF?. i wonder if Innothule Swamp will actually be the portion of the island that DoF is on that hasn't been opened up yet - perhaps the whole southern part of it (south of Maj'Dul)?

If this has been mentioned before, pardon me - but I haven't seen it..

Thoughts, anyone?

Innothule Swamp will most likely be found south-center between Ro and Feerrott.

You mean Obulus?

Probably about the same time we get the other third of the Isle of Ro.

In other words, never. The devs once stated that they had no plans to even start working on that region of Kunark. They weren't going to bring back Frontier Mountains or Warslik Woods.

i have an inquiry , not so much a true question here goes...

why do the devs do this? announce aforehand that parts of the world will NEVER be found , that would irk me beyond words if i ever played eq1

and , found out my favorite loc will never be seen again. i could see not having minor parts of the world but from what i read in the forums these

and many other "missing" places were once pivital parts of an active world. the re-discovered places we have now are in some cases sloppily

filled out and  done in a slap-dash manner. i for one would like to see another monster sized city spring up in the same manner as freeport and

qeynos, kelethin is, well?...ok but doesnt have the large feel to it that the other main cities do, and Neriak looks rushed through ,is a bit

laggy and is too close to freeport. gimme something so as i can feel some level of immersion...lol i know game devs have it in them to do that the

"old school" eq2 with the minor city quests, voice overs and old t1 thru t5 content had it goin on. i havent thrown in the towel yet i hoping that

energy has not left the building.

Technically Cusa is wrong, they didn't way they NEVER plan to add these zones in, they said there are no current plans to add those zones in, They also said at one point, that there is no current plans to add in the remaining "Missing" parts of the Shaddered Lands, they are now adding one of those missing parts back in. Basically the devs did not have time to put something in that locked off part of the map, so they are leaving it a big black spot, lorewise to allow those that come latter free rain to fill in that black spot.

and , found out my favorite loc will never be seen again. i could see not having minor parts of the world but from what i read in the forums these

It maybe seen again, We are getting alot of zones in this next expainsion that where fan favorates that people thought they would never see again, based on there location, zones like Befallen.

and many other "missing" places were once pivital parts of an active world. the re-discovered places we have now are in some cases sloppily

Neriak is where it is because thats is where it has always been, it has always been close to Freeport, heck Fallen Gate is part of old Neriak. As far as the Huge city feel, personally I feel much more constrained in FP and Qeyons then I do in Kele(wich I believe was always a smallish city), Neriak(wich does need it's lag issues worked on), and Gorowin. Now if Q and FP where converted into open zones that feeling would change, but I don't see that happening because 1) the zone lines don't really match up, and 2) the lag Fest that is QH would be spread to all of Qeynos.

"old school" eq2 with the minor city quests, voice overs and old t1 thru t5 content had it goin on. i havent thrown in the towel yet i hoping that

energy has not left the building.

I marked the locations on EQLive Antonica Map to indicate where the Moors of Ykesha (Innothule Swamp) will be.

Combining this map, from Cusa above:And this Map I found on google:Nets me aproximatly this Map:The red area on the map is what I think the Aproximate size and shape of Innithule will be, based on Geographic features, of the pre-shaddering map(rivers and such) and the dev comments of it being about the same size if not larger then the Kunark zones.

funny when you look at those maps and compare them. all the land missing. Like EQ2 feerott is only the little jungle in the ancient feerott. Nektulos forest is not really anymore between neriak and FP, everfrost is small compared to the ancient ice zone.

If Sony used the greatest theory of our time, they could in fact stretch the landmass like they saw fit. Perhaps they could render a old globe model of Norrath, and render it like these great models.

Check out the Neal Adams Science Project New Model of the Universe.

 http://www.nealadams.com/nmu.html

Instead of continents bumping around this theory suggests that the planet, and all planets grow over time. Makes sense to me. Just check out a few of the models and see for yourself.

Norrath over time with this theory, could grow to large size and could prove for unlimited expansions to come! SMILEY  Since its a fantasy world, Sony could adopt this theory as fact in Norrath, no matter how much

the theory was correct in real life, which I happen to believe it is a reality. This could prove to bring us other sides of the globe of norrath that has never been discovered. What we have now could be one hemisphere.

This whole shattered lands concept was one of the worst decisions they ever made. Should have named the game Islands of Everquest.

I think Smed would agree with you thier only maybe Islands of Norath, instead of Everquest, but there you go. Smed has said the biggest mistack he made with EQ2 is calling it EQ2 eventhough it's not really a sequel.
