Why is it 9 out of 10 time I decide to level my tradeskills there is some dufas who decides to run in circles up stairs then jumps off the balcony over and over and over non stop. And they are not leveling their safe fall as I'm in a good side trade instance. Last night for example I start tradeskilling and this person started this NON STOP FOR 45min!!!!!!! Is it just me ?

I can't say that I've ever had anything quite that annoying happen to me, though I do hate it when people jump down on top of me when I'm crafting.  Another annoyance is people who have their pets up - the pets just love me and stand right next to me.

However, when things get too aggravating, I will do one of two things:

1.  Swap to my weaponsmith - the forges are tucked away from all the riff-raff.

2.  Go to a different tradeskill instance.

I know, esp. in Qeynos there are some nice private areas where most people don't craft and you aren't bothered by these types of pests. Most of these niche places have fuel merchants that are close enough where you don't have to move to access them....SMILEY Also there are some very nice open air places to craft, too, and I find them pest free.Only down side is doing writs as they are only in the main crafting places.

Why couldn't they be leveling safe fall on the good side? I can attest that rangers get safe fall and we're on the good side.

In regards to the tradeskill instance, the Qeynos version has a 1st and 2nd floor...that's it...Freeport on the other hand has up to 4 floors of falling space in their tradeskill instance. If they're doing that in the Qeynos tradeskill instances, then they're not leveling safefall...just isn't enough distance to get that skill up..not even enough space to take damage from falling in there.  However, it's plenty of space for Neurotic Tree Frogs to annoy the ever living Brell outta ya....Not even gonna mention the snowball effect on tradeskilling. It's been a loooooong time since I was a tadpole, but I do seem to remember taking falling damage off those balconies way back when. That was before the adjustments, however, so I'm not sure it could still be done. I would have to take one of my low lowbies and see. There's also the possibility they were doing writs, and jumping to skim off some time. I know I've done that before the outdoor tradeskill areas with the clipboards were made available. To the OP, did you ask them what they were doing?

...should I go hide now?  ::see sig line::As for the pets, my conjuror and necro keep their pets up for power draining when crafting.  Mostly because I have auto-consume off, and so my first alert that I don't have a drink active is typically getting to the 4th combine in  rush order and realizing I'm out of power.  My bad, I know, but my guess would be that's the main reason you see pets. That or they simply forget to banish them.

That is really strange. All the time I spent in FPT TS instances, I rarely saw people doing that repeatedly, though I always jump down instead of the stairs, esp on the baby scouts for a possible skillup. No one would keep getting safefall skillups for that long before needing to go somewhere higher.

The TS balconey isn't high enough to level safe fall since they upped the minimum distance to the height of a bird tower. These people are just burning off steam and being annoying. The same sort run circles around SQ and other places (like the bank) as well. I for one would love to see the "hut hut" jumping sound removed from the game or at least an option to filter it out. It's the prime method used by players to annoy one another and seems to serve no other purpose. My current pet peeve is the NPC in NQ. She likes to stand wedged up against the front of the woodworking station. I'm sure it was a cute idea to have mobile, chatty NPCs in these congested areas, but it is really annoying to anyone trying to work on a long project such as IFE faction or other writ-bound activities.

Had a guy the other day send me a tell asking me to make something for him, and as soon as I got the tell, he started running around the area in circles, jumping around.  I've rarely had someone do this for long periods of time though. The pets drive me crazy, especially when people almost deliberately seem to park them in front of doors or the fuel merchant.  Not that I can't get around them, that's not the problem, it just seems a bit rude.

On Nektulos there used to be someone who did this in the Willow Wood.  Ran around the Tradeskill instance, not practicing save fall or anything but looking like they were deliberately trying to be annoying.  They'd run "into" and behind the crafting station jumping and emoting, and if I moved they'd go there too.  I always thought they were botter-hunting or trying to lag people out.  It's annoying, but unless they're actually inturrupting your gameplay (I dunno, maybe my shooting off fireworks and stuff ot lag you out?) or verbally harassing you, there's not much to be done.

Hopefully I don't annoy people when I need to reach the broker in Begger's courts tradeskill instance by using that as a shortcut.

I do like how Castleview Hamlet's floor plan though.
