Hello all!  A friend of mine came to me and asked me to put his house in order.  I didn't mind so went round to see what I had gotten into.  OMG!  Books EVERYWHERE!  I couldn't even walk in the front room where everything else had mostly been dumped! (It's all good, he knows I love him dearly, but sheesh!)  After about a week of getting everything organized, I set out to arrange things.  I wish I had taken "before" pics to show you the difference.

The front room, as you enter.

Next, let's head through the stone archway.

As you can see, his place to worship and meditate.

Next on the tour, we will head downstairs.

The downstairs area also includes his bed and bath area.

Through the next door

Next, we will head up to the second floor.

The first door is his study and contains most of his expanded item count!

Continuing the tour, we exit the study.

A view of the music parlor.  (Grrr, he moved the bookcase and didn't put it back right!  lol)

Let's head up to the garden for the finale of the tour.

That's about it!  I would have loved to do more, but item count already met at 600.  In any case, he now has a nicer looking home to come home to and enjoy!  He was thrilled and promised to keep it looking neat, lol!

Nice job SMILEY I can well imagine that the place was a nightmare judging by the amount of Trophies and Books you've arranged! I like how you used mirrors as cupboard doors SMILEY

You have done a lovely job.

In the fifth picture down there are two large white drapes against the back wall. This is the "worship" room.  Well, they look like drapes.  What are they?  I've looked up curtains and drapes on the broker and can't find them.  I've seen these used as drapes in other houses here. I'm not talking about the death's head drapes you do have in this room too. bit the big white things that are about the size of a window.

I love your kitchen cabinets too.    Can you tell us what you used for them?  I just took another look at them.  The design is familiar. By any chance, are they plain chests with pictures hung backwards and sideways to make the front design?  Never mindSMILEY  I just saw Lady Zagora's comment to you about using the teak mirrors.  Very, very nice.

Thanks.

Oh I love it! The whole house is beautiful!   I think I like the study the best, there's so many goodies in there, but they all have their place and it just looks "lived in." Thanks for sharing. SMILEY

Looks great Mary....please tell me it wasn't as bad as Khlon's house!!!  Mary and I did another guildie's house....he had so much stuff thrown around that we couldn't move.  House turned out great though.

Thanks all!  The "curtains" in the worship room are ironwood beds, turned around and smushed into the wall so that only the back shows.  The kitchen counters were Freeport counters that he had in the study previously with teak mirrors turned on their sides for doors.

And no, Kloo!  It was not as bad as Khlon's house!!  I should post pics of his house soon.

Where did that large bonsai come from! Never seen that before. Love the garden, especially the bath within the bath.
