I was sure where to post this but this is the closest thing to a Bugreport/customer service forum for in game issues that are not ( seemingly) technical in nature.Okay here's the deal I came back to the game recently and for a while I didn't notice anything amiss, but recently I've been duoing with a bard and/or a templar and even though I have a 50% mount ( and bard speed is 44%) both of the characters easily move twice as fast as I do. I do play a fairly small gnome illusionist but that shouldn't have any effect on movement speed, and I checked to make sure I didn't have walking/crouching on. Furthermore this problem is persistent in that even when I die or log off or whatever it doesn't go away.  I do think I am getting *some* benefit from my mount in that just walking seems slower still. Sprinting does not make me move appropriately fast either. I first noticed the issue around lvl 70 when I got the ability "lost in the crowd," but that could and probably is largely coincidence.I do use Profit UI ( auto updating verison) and EQ2 maps.In short does anyone have idea what could be causing the problems or possible ways to fix? After the patch today I'm going to try reseting ym UI/uninstalling my addons. but if anyone has more specific advice I'd really appreciate it cause moving like a snail around kunzar jungle is really getting old.

Assuming you're not in walk mode the only thing I can think of is that you're burdened. It may sound kinda simple, but just for kicks look at the bottom of your inventory window and make sure your carried weight doesn't exceed your max carry. (usually displays in red if you're over burdened I think). I know I usually get a little reminder message if I'm burdened, but there's always the chance that is disabled or being overlooked by your custom UI.

Also, check your persona window to see what your run speed is actually listed as both on and off your mount to make sure it reflects whatever mount or buffs you have active. I believe regular sprinting should be 40% runspeed.

No not burdened ( except when rez sickness)And yes my run speed says 40-50%I removed all ym UI settings after the patch and it seems to remove the problem... but begs the question what caused it in the first place.

Actually, if you look at the description of the Tips and Tricks forum, you will see it described as "This board is for player-written guides and helpful tips for playing EverQuest II" -- it is not for bugs, customer service, questions, etc. SMILEYIf you are seeking customer service, I suggest you /petition in-game as customer service is not provided via the forums, though I will move this thread over to the Gameplay Discussion forum which is a bit more appropriate and one of your fellow players may have some ideas for you.

I have this problem off and on as well, I'll have to try deleting my UI and see if it has any effect. Its a weird problem, I'm supposed to be running at 50% but instead seems like I have no accel at all.

I get this quite often (or sometimes, though more seldom, the reverse- I move much faster than I should be... and when I have 70% runspeed normally, this makes me crazy fast). For me, it only ever has a chance of happening when I log out of the game all the way to desktop, and then (immediately or much much later, it doesn't matter) log back into the game, without rebooting. I believe it's a bug with having a dual core system of some type. I have absolutely no idea if it could be your problem as well, of course, but... I figured I'd chime in just in case. I just reboot whenever either one happens (because, as fun as the Super Fast Mode is, it would likely get me petitioned), and it's fine after.Hope you figure out, and can fix, your problem- whatever it winds up being.

This is the speed hack in reverse SMILEY I am betting you are running a system with a dual core CPU. In simple terms the game is running at the wrong speed because it is not properly synced with the computer. AMD has a patch for their CPUs There is also a Microsoft fix that should work for Intel CPUs

This happened to me the other day.

Not encumbered, no rez sickness, not in combat, clicked off the horse then re-summned, twice.

Had to camp to character select and then come back to fix it.

I noticed this when my little necro got off the sokokar last night, she should have been @ 40% because of the horse, when I stopped and dismounted/remounted it went back to normal.  I think it might be something to do with the Sokokar and getting back on the mount which was a recent change?
