![]() Ok, my simple chandelier that I got when I first moved in doesn't come close to cutting it for light especially now that I have more than one room. What are some affordable items that give off good light in your home so you can see better. Bonus points if it's in a style that complement my Dwarf heritage. |

Yeah the mining lanterns give off a nice amount of light. My personal favorite is the death's head candles but they are very much an evil thing and not so much dwarven. As far as "rustic" light sources there are not that many unfortunately. The ironwood floor lamp isnt bad but it may not be very dwarven to you. There are several good choices if you dont limit your style... the temple candles are nice as well as the ebon sconces.

Also, keep in mind that you can hide lightsources like lanterns by placing them and then placing a larger piece of furniture like a crate (or keg for you dwarves) on top of them. You won't have to see the lantern but still get the light.

The Enchanted Candelabra sold at some Qeynos merchants for a little over 2 gold each are also very good lighting. They also stand on their own so no need to incorporate them into a design.

![]() The Paladian Braziers are another that are pretty bright. My real beef with those is that the flames crackle, but its about the only thing that lights up the FP houses for instance. And as silly as it sounds, equiping a torch when you go thru a house can make a big difference too. Granted it's not a solution, but for taking pictures and finding your way, it will do. |

![]() Tin Sconce 1) Cheap, not inexpensive, but cheap. 2x tin, 1 root, 1 elm, 1 coal, lvl 9 artisan cheap. If you can't afford to buy raws on broker for a couple silver, then hit your newbie zone for them & sell off the leaded loams you harvest to tinkers. 2) Real light. 3) Simple design fits with most decors. 4) Small enough to be hidden to give light to unlit lamps. I stole the idea of another designer & tuck mine inside my bronze sconces to get light effect. You could also easily use this behind another object to create indirect accent lighting. |

I also recommend using the photo catalogs of furniture to help when you are decorating.EQ2 Traders Corner is good, and they tell you which lights actually illuminate!I like Everseek as well because it shows faction and merchant and quest furniture items also.

The ironwood table lamp is a champion little light. Mining lanterns are great. The norrathian holiday candles too but they're generally stupidly priced on the broker. Most when you examine in game tell you about the light amount and you can sort of tell by looking at the amount of 'haze' surrounding the item in the dressing room.

For stadium lighting, ring the room with xegonite sconces. They put out an astounding amount of light.

Depending on your video settings, be careful that you don't put too many light sources. If you have more light sources than you have your settings set to show, then only the ones closest to you will show up, leaving the far side of the room in darkness. If you are having trouble seeing and have lots of lights, check your options to see how many light sources your system will display simultaneously.

![]() Tin sconces, Simple Candelabra, Vale Briarwood Candelabra, Small/Fulginate Militia Sconce, Hanging/Mine lantern, Paladin Brazier, Adamantine Torch, Ornate Temple Light, Ornate Kunzite Table Lamp, Death's Head candle Light/Torch/Brazier, Thulian Brazier, Redwood teardrop wall lamp, All of the Redwood streetlamps! There is a list of common lighting that I'm pretty sure gives off a decent amount of light.. As far as dwarf theme I would go with the Mine Lanterns and Paladin Braziers |
