hi all....

would like to request that the Village of Shin have player housing added in an upcoming GU.

the way i see it is this: there are two good communities (Qtown & Kel), three bad (Fport, Gor & Ner), one neutral (Refuge), and one that doesn't care (Maj'Dul); we need another good for balance and harmony (Ying/Yang).  plus, it already has all the required components: mender, brokers, merchants, bar, houses not in use, and its the most tranqual place in all of Norath.

i went looking yesterday to possibly move to Maj'Dul, another peaceful place, love the room looks there; found the mender (pretty far from any housing) but never found a broker SMILEY

i'm an old dwarf and have been playing EQ since the Kunark expansion for the original game, came over to two as a beta tester and fell in love with the visuals.

so what do u say, lets give the Village of Shin some revenue allow us to live there.

thanks, P.

Qeynos and freeport are slow to get around due to having to zone often, neriak and gorowyn take a long while to get used to, kelethin is kinda out of the mind due to its location, i'd move to Village of Shin in an instant due to it being easy to navigate + single zone + good looking + easy accesible due to two way bells to nek /ts.

Get faction with one of the groups in Maj'Dul and you'll have access to the courts.  I can get into the Court of the Blades and it has brokers, person to turn in status items, etc.

Maj'Dul was an experiment of moving housing outside the major cities.  For the most part, it didn't work out very well.  Most people still stay in the main cities.  That's probably why they've never tried it again.

I would think that 'one that doesn't care' would count as neutral.. just sayin...

MajDul is the absolute most convenient of towns but has been missing a few key components. To answer your question you need to get faction to access the brokers. Buy tokens, kill guards for them or do quests to raise faction. Personally, for convenience the best court to get faction with is Court of Coin. The faction Court house is centrally located next to the Golden Sceptor and the interior is a single level and small. All courts have mender, broker, mail box, banker, faction merchants (that accept all 4 of the status items), in addition to selling specific court "treasures" and crafting scrolls. In the last game update crafting stations were added to the Golden Sceptor in addition to fuel marchants for each crafting class.Once you get inside a court and have some faction do the quest "becoming a citizen of Ro" and get the 'Call of Ro' which works like the Call of Qeynos/Overlord and allows you to call to the gates of MajDul (once per hour like the other calls). From MajDul you are one click from Sinking Sands. If the docks at SS are expanded to include bells to more ports and hopefully the cities as well and limit the carpet to travel within SS this could become a major hub for both aligned factions. It could be an interesting element to the pvp servers but since I dont spend a majority of my time there I will leave that conjecture to others for the moment.Seems some things in MajDul are changing lately so I definitely wouldnt write it off, quite the opposite actually. Remember, either aligned group can own housing there and sell from there which negates the broker fees. This should be highly advantageous on the blue servers at least.

My Monk would move there in a heartbeat!!Shin is my fave village in game, if I can't move there then I hope one of the next GU's has a new good startingplace with quests and rewards inline with Gor and Ner etc.

Gorowyn doesn't care who hangs out there, but it is still technically an evil city, and you have to be a citizen to buy a house or get "Call of Gorowyn".

Every time I go to Majdul I get hopelessly lost, negating much of its "convenience" for me LOL.*Shrug*  I'd love if Shin had housing available.

I would like to see some sort of housing in Terans Grasp.  It already has crafting stations, broker, banker and a few other perks, houses there as well would be great.  Especially for those that don't leave Kunark all that often.
