I'm losing the will to play, i used to have have fun.

SoE, please fix resist rates T8, I don't care that melee classes can rip out huge auto attack damage of over 2k, I don't care about evacing, I don't care about potion using any more, the only thing I care about is me actually being able to hit another player with a spell.

Us caster sit their figuring out the best attack plan for each class type, but no matter how skilled you are you will normally always die because 8/10 spell will resist, how is this fair when:

We have the lowest health in the game, and given the damage at these levels you don't last long at all.

We have seriously slow casting times, and again with damage like it is, you only get to cast one or two spells, more if you get the jump.

we get a raw deal when it comes to the use of roots, stuns and snares, many can only be used once, or not at all, so you are forced into melee range almost all the time.

our spell are seriously easy to interrupt, and it can be done to the point where you will never get a spell off.

 We can be utterly negated with a cheap easy to get pumice stone.

There are potions made to ward our damage and stifles that last an insane amount of time, all this makes playing a caster so much harder then any other class yet Sony feels that we shouldn't even be able to even get a spell to hit?   Even if it does hit the mitigation and the way it works in pvp will negate half our damage, and that is in the  hope they are not using warding potions.

Sony Please fix these resist rates

/agree BIG TIME! even as a troub it gets resisted alot whit all debuffs on , doesnt matter something is wrong...

play a troub as well and i know all about thos resists.  I don't even care that when my spells land that someone will absorb like 60%+ of it, I just want them to land so i have a chance at winning.

LoLSony already nerfed resist so many times and so badly - and u want more?L2P then open topics like this.Im a raiding tank - ok i hadn't my raid gear on - but still warlock was able to kill me in 2sec!!!Wiz can land 10k spell on me.Necro - even not 80 - if u allow him can burn 4/5 of my life in 5 sec.So what do u want? So every one of your hits will land like in PvE?You want instant kill? Because you are clothy and you can be burn down fast (if not mana shield/stoneskin) you want to have all other classes to be one shooted?Root, debuff, nuke and end of story?

One would think that a fight vs. any mage should be like a 50/50 fight.

Half of the time maybe, the mage will be able to root/stun/stifle/mez, dot/nuke/etc, and keep you at range the entire fight, all the while being hit by your arrows/dmg at range.

One would think.... wouldn't they?    What is so crazy about a world like that?   50/50

I'm just going to throw you guys a bone, b/c I AGREE yet again... I support /feedback and /petition- they get read (well petitions do for sure, not so sure about feedback) but yeah hit em  up in game.. .they dont' read forums often... the mods do and they like to tell us to not fire up the community like imd oing right now... My other post said"to all who oppose pumice stones please /petition in-game to help us get results" < something like thatI was  attacked by a forum mod said don't spam forums for change blah blah something... pretty dumb eh? seems they know that forums aren't read so when we use the forums to try to get ppl to feedback and petition we get jumped?!odd isn't it......

impossible for a necro to burn 10k+ hp down in 4-5 seconds. abate life master1 is on 2 second cast does 1470 max dps on someone unbuffed, on 9 second recast. soulrot adpt3 2 second cast, 425-577 damage instanly and 122-165 every .3 second for 1.5 second on 3 second recast. bloodcoil master 2, 1 second cast 651-700 damage instanly and 221-270 every 2.8 seconds for 26 seconds, recast of 8 seconds. inferal cloud apt3 999 damage on 1.94 second cast on a 25 second recast.

so in 4-5 seconds the pet has to do roughly 7k damage in that time. aint no way a pet will do that. mage pet dies in one aoe, scout pet misses atleast 50% of the time while meleeing, why do you think all raiding necros use mage pet. and tank pet lolololololol

ps dont mention lifeburn cause thats on a 5 second cast timer, goodluck casting that one without getting stunned or stifled.

whats really really funny is my 23 warlock has dark distortion master 1 and it hits a little harder than my necro's t8 bloodcoil master 2 spell

I know what im talking about couse i was  attacked by blue necro in Queynos (ye i had carnage) and i allowed him to attack - wanted to see what he can do. And in few sec after root he had me on red. OFC 3 sec later he was dead - but i had to use unyielding will to win.@Roald - when tank uses his dps gear in t8 cold resists are really low around 3.5k - ofc on raid gear u have like 7-8k cold. So ive just seen couple of times when wizzy hit me with crit nuke (after debuf) for 8.8-9.9k.As to warlocks i dont know how it was possible - we chased grp through zones - we zoned in to jungle, they were there waiting for us. When our immunity finished in 2 sec i was dead. When checked ACT that was 2 attacks from warlock and 1 from brig. Im to lazy to look for this parse in ACT history. But as i remember there was big and medium hit from lock and debuff with small dmg from brig.

I think you estimated the cast timers wrong.If he used LB, which he probably did since I feared you, that is 7 seconds of fight before the first damage even comes in... Another 10 seconds before LB even finishes its dot. Add to that all the other dots and the pets and you have yourself at least 10 seconds of fighting (without counting the fear cast timer) before the necro could possibly have done that much damage to you.And oh, yeah. If you were at 4/5th health when yous tarted fighting and you STILL killed the necro, doesnt that say something pretty [Removed for Content] blatantly how [Removed for Content] bad they are off in pvp?Against any other class you wouldnt have stood much chance at that point.

i used unyielding will =extra 35% hp for next 40 sec or so - then u will die even when 100% hp.And yes i killed him but again i know how to play my class. Maybe you are right about time. In combat time runs like crazy. Truth is when fear stoped work and i finally broke root i was on red. So b4 i could do any offensive action but bow. I dont know good necros - they all look easy for me but in Queynos we have a general conji who dueled most of classes and won.So 1 learn how you can beat opponents in different classes. Some of them you will not be able to kill same like i cant kill warlock for example. If you cant kill solo - your dps will work very good in grp behind tank.So plz stop cry how weak you are - try to find strong sides of you toon and use it. Same like i had to learn pvp with my guardian.

That General Conjuror doesnt fight classes where he can die too. Mostly its just 3 classes that he fights over and over to get fame, but as soon as someone who could win asks him for a fight he switches his character. Wouldnt be too proud of that.

the fact of the matter is i know how to play my class thank you. but i also know that for the amount of damage that i can do in a given time, compared to say a guardian is either equal or maybe slightly higher. but the guardians level of survivability is significantly higher than a necros you have around 60% mit compared to my 30% mit, combined with the two 30 second mit buffs and the aoe root that guardians get that is unresistable, unlike necros. you have 55%+ avoidance compared to my 57% that i was able to get by getting lots of agility gear and 8% parry. now lets look at that avoidance figure yours is probably around 19% block with a towershield or 9%-12% with buckler thats uncontested avoidance blows my avoidance out of the water cause all of mine is contested. you probably also have the sta line which gives you extra riposte by 8% that is uncontested avoidance as well. also given the fact that you can up your disease resists pretty much means the necro is doing little damage to you. no amount of resist gear helps a necro vs melee. btw stop using unyielding will thats for zerkers.

really i think that all necros is need is the defensive/offensive buff for our pet to have the proc taunt like a guardian to work in pvp, and have the tank pet taunt alot more. we need time to have our dots do damage and thats the one thing mages cant spare.

Well, considering that the last time I actually parsed the tank pet (been a while) he came out to force a switch of targets once every 20 seconds. Not lock targets, he just forced a switch that often.20 seconds? Come on! If its just only to be a target swtich, make it once every 3 seconds or so.

yeah thats the problem with summoners main pets, they wanna think its a pve encounter. if they had the taunts and taunting proc, the one where if the guardian gets hit it forces a target change and locks for 3 seconds, like a guardian i think wed be in alot better shape. on the offensive buff we need the one like zerkers get, how when the zerker hits he forces a target change and lock. would also be real nice if the pet offensive stance had + to crush, pierce, and slash and the defensive buff have +defense and +parry, but i know im dreaming on that one lol.

Melee DPS in general and autoattack in particular is currently overpowered. In PvP casters are too easy to kill and in PvE they parse too low. When a fighter or a scout parses higher than a caster you know something is out of whack. In PvP, if you're even a mediocre fighter or scout then killing a caster is trivial. Killing any class should never be trivial. Killing bad players should be trivial.

Enoe you lose creditbility here saying a necro can burn 4/5 your life in 5 sec.  In 5 seconds i can land one dot which will do about 800 dmg in 2 ticks, if i nuke u get hit for 1k, so even IF I nail with 1 dot and a nuke im doing about 2k dmg in 5 seconds IF im lucky.  Don't try and BS people not knowing what your talking about.  and if you wanna say they lifeburned ya, your also full of it since it takes us 5 seconds to cast the spell int he first place.  I've fought you in duels, your stuns are too much for a long casting spell.

So, maybe a sorcerer can drop ya fast but in no way is any utility killing you in 5 seconds.  I can't even kill a conjie in 5 seconds, its mechanically impossible.

So ive just seen couple of times when wizzy hit me with crit nuke (after debuf) for 8.8-9.9k.As to warlocks i dont know how it was possible - we chased grp through zones - we zoned in to jungle, they were there waiting for us. When our immunity finished in 2 sec i was dead. When checked ACT that was 2 attacks from warlock and 1 from brig. Im to lazy to look for this parse in ACT history. But as i remember there was big and medium hit from lock and debuff with small dmg from brig.
He used a god ability then cause no necro has that power in their arsenal.  We are dot based dmg Enoe. You can sit and let me hit ya for 10 seconds I would barely get ya to 30%

Hmm... ok i can agree - Necros are too easy to kill - if any fighter/scout class hit Freedom of Action - every necro will be dead in few sec.I just hate idea of changing resists in pvp. They really sux already. I as a tank, I dont afraid fighting other fighters or scouts - but im afraid of casters. If sony will mess with resists more - i will be just paper tank vs any caster.So plea about fixing your class - well i never did that when my guardian was totally useless in pvp on t7 - but it is your right.But you are asking to nerf resists in all classes = warlocks/wizards will be more powerful+still mana shield. Its sick. Check Mentis PVP video to see what good warlock can do now. You want to give them chance to solo whole grps? Yeah T7 was no fun for fighters. But just 'cause it's a lot easier for you and me to win now doesn't mean it's right.

something is seriously broken when my master spells get resisted by grey/green con players, on my necro,  and my 72 guard takes a 77 conjy behind the woodshed for an ol'fashioned faceplanting.

One easy "fix" would be to include items for casters that has the special properity to make their spells harder to resist. 

My resists are decent(about 6K across the board, thanks to full T8 MC gear), and plenty of spells still land. If a person has 8K to 9K in a resist, yes they should be resisting alot of certain spell type....that's the whole point of resists. Casters, your spells won't land 100% of the time, just accept it.

Though it does seem to me that most casters calling for resists to be nerfed are really just interested getting easy kills. They want to beable to just root someone (with that person having no way of getting out of the root) so that the caster can just nuke(with no chance of their spells being resisted) at their lesiure. SMILEY

Seems to me that those calling for nerfs and such, just want your roots to stick 100% of the time, just want your spells to land 100% of the time, and do not want anyone to have any way to counter anything you do.

This is PVP, you WILL kill other players, you WILL be killed by other players, you WILL escape from other players, and you WILL have other players escape from you.
