I'm not exactly uber-geared, so I've got a few things that have been around for a while. One of the is the FBSS, with its lovely Haste add. I've worn it all along to level 72 just for that alone. But in Kylong every second quest seems to give a belt of some sort. A couple of them seem pretty nice, for example: http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Flesh_Hugger .At what point does a large increase in stats justify giving up a nice haste increase? (I should add that my only other haste comes from the monk self-buff, and I haven't yet seen any other haste items.)Thanks in advance.

At 75 you could pick up a star of mornings glory that has 25 haste. It's a decent weapon overall.

Personally I don't even have a haste item equipped at the moment. Given our high haste already, and the ease of getting well above the diminishing returns cap, I decided to give up my cloak and get something with some very nice stats on it instead. Now if I run across something that gives haste that goes into a slot not already giving me a big bonus, I'll do it. But otherwise I'm not worrying about it.
Now if you decide to go for the star of morning glory, pick up a deklurium cudgel to match with it. Those two were made for each other.

Absolutely. for me, after haste the delay goes from 4.0 to about 2 depending on the group. Auto-attack hits range from ~400 to a high crit of 1700 or more. You can put out some serious auto-attack damage with these things when you factor in crits and double attack.I'm going to be sad to trade them in when I get my epic. I still don't know what I'm going to pair it with yet. |

There's a nice drop off Doomcoil in Protectors that matches the epic delay. Can't remember its name.

The staff DC drops is kinda nice, but I prefer the soulfire kama.
