OK, new to this pvp thing, but i just got my [Removed for Content] handed to me twice by a toon that is 4 levels lower than me.  I was hitting him, but his health barely moved.  He was 15 and I'm 19.  Now could it be my gear, or his gear or I just suck at pvp?  Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm a swash, not for sure what he was, but he was stealthed up.   Even though I hit him, I barely put a dent into him.  Thanks.

Gear like the other guy said. On pvp, you have to have the minimum of adept 3 of your main attacks. Helps a metric ton.

Sorry to say this scenario is no longer possible.

SOE implemented FORCED FAST LEVELING on PVP kills to prevent this.

Every thread about the change had far more in favor of the change than opposed, regardless of the "logic" used by those in favor of the change.

Since that massive game mechanic is in place, and working as intended, the only conclusion to be had is that you do in fact suck at pvp (your words not mine).

/chuckle SOE  - seems to be working just fine to protect all the newbs you all were so worried about.

Yeah, its not really all about gear in pvp. Its all about having adept 3 or higher CA's / spells. Also, are you lvling in timmorous deep? or Queens colony and all the other small zones? Timmorous deep will solve a lot of your problems gear wise.

Actually, it is for the most part. When I run through DLW or CL's I see newbs all over the place happily questing and grinding. This was a rare sight prior to the change. There are still twinks out there. The change wasn't implemented to prevent it completely. It was implemented so that those who believed it was a "career" to camp the starter zones would have no choice but to eventually go play with the "big boys". SMILEYAt the OP... gear and spell/ca upgrades. If you're in a guild, ask a mate to help you upgrade these. I have a mailbox full of orders for T2-3 spells and ca's from my guildies which I'm happy to fill for them. All they have to do is harvest/buy the rares for them.
