So, I'd made a well in my garden area of my SQ house but it lacked water. Imagine my delight when the Adamantine pools were released AND were the exact shape to fit inside my well!!!

Technically, it is a well-feed cistern. I would imagine the home-owner had the Gnomish Hydro-tinkeneers use a pump/piping system to bring water from the sub-dungeon, as well as additional piping in the eaves of the roof to collect and feed rain-water to the cistern.

However, by placing the household cistern on the upper floor, the home-owners can have running water for showers, water-features and the in-door privies without having to start up the pumps (wonderfully effective, but prone to producing a pretty vile-smelling off-gas when opperating) more then once or twice a week.

The Gnomes might also have installed piping just under the surface of the roofing to allow the water to pass next to the heated tiles, transfering the heat to the water and thereby creating a running hot water system as well as useful for cooling (without magic) the average temperature of the home.

What a great idea. It looks fantastic.  This would look great on the outside patios in 3 room homes. It would fill up the space nicely.

Just be careful your kitty doesn't fall in!
