since you can adjust your char's height and stuff, is there a wya to get the exact feet, meters, cm, etc measurment of your character? i ask because in all the mmo's i like the most (psobb, psu, eq2, and gw), i like to make a "life-size" poster of my char in the games and post them in my room. call me geek/nerd if you want, i don't care.but this is kidna difficult if i don't know the size of my char. in the other 3 games i mentioned, there is some way to tlel the exact fee t, meters, cm, etc of your char? EDIT: if not, is the exact height of something in the game known? i did this in swg too, but since it doesn't have anyway to measure character's height, i compared myself to han solo (who i googled as 5.9 feet), and split his body into parts equalling fractions of his height, and compared my char next to him. that's how i got my char's height in that game. if you cna't directly measure your char, is ANY object/person in the game a known height?

Since human is a playable race, and the average height of a male human irl is ~5'9", that could be a good starting point for you.

if 5 foot 9 inches is average, how do i know if eq2 actulaly uses that tho? for all we know, the human range could be like 5 foot 3 inches smallest, and 5 foot 9 inches at tallest.@dela - where did you get that from? if that's accurate, that'd be very helpful

Well if you want to go to the effort....Ranged attacks do have an actual range in meters...Find a shorter one  and a nice vertical cliff,  play with where something is 'in range' or out of range, and that will give you a wall to compare / measure against.Just for note, form my testing 'range' (and/or LOS) seem to be measured feet - feet,  so even though that huge sarnka head may be even with your feet, and that tiny fae well below you... they both would be 'in range' or 'out of range'.

Um...no way...my Sarnak shows up nearly 3 feet taller than my troll and barbarian...I don't think the Sarnak is suppose to be 10-11 foot tall...

look whre there feet are.for some reason, the character select screen makes the character's feet higher or lower than others. my bet is your troll's feet are lower than the sarnaks, making it look taller

what the hell is ab?and how can raven tell this is accurate? how do you know he didn't make this up on the spot.according to that, the shortest dark elf and shortest ratonga are only 1 inch different in height. that is VERY VERY innacurate. (make those 2 chars yourself. i'd ssay it's more like half a foot to a foot off)because of that, i ain't trusting any of that info at all :/also, i forgot to mention what i did to determine my ratonga's height:there are alot of sites (i'd say maybe 20-30) that say a dark elf's average height is 5 feet. using that, i made a dark elf character with the height scroller in the exact center, and assumed that was 5 feet. then i went to the character select screen, and measured the inches of the dark elf char facing to the left, and the inches of my ratongaa char facing left. using fractions and equations, i got that if the dark elf is 5 feet tall (according to a freaking lot of sites), my ratonga is 3 feet 6 inches in height.

RatongaMin Height: 47in (3ft11) Max Height: 53in (4ft5)

Apparantly 8 and a ) put together is a smiley on here. However...as you see...the shortest Dark Elf would be just a bit taller than the tallest Ratonga.

FYI, AB is short for Antonia Bayle

oh, i should've guessed. it's a role-play forums thing.unfortunatly, those ARE just all made up, not official in anyway. all they are is people guessing.not reliable imo.still, the most reliable way i cna find is what i did. sicne 20-30 sites ALL say the same thing (allakhazam, toptenhammer, eq2stratics, and others), it's pretty much guaranteed accurate

So your going to take the word of a fan site over the book SOE helped write? Those stats were taken from the pages of the official table top RPG. If you really think you can do better then that good luck boss.

Just so you know, ALL of this information is made up. There is no such thing as a dark elf, or a troll or any of the other races in the game other than Humans. Role play sites, authors, SOE, etc.  made all of it up. Just because 20 or 30 sites say something the same, doesn't mean its at all accurate. I can find plenty of sites that say Elvis is still alive, should I take those sites at their word?SOE's measurements can be considered accurate as far as the game goes, although they've been known to make mistakes about things in their own games before, so take even THAT with a grain of salt.
