how can I hang lanterns where folks can see them?

I made a few of the new Frostfell paper lanterns last night, but I'm have a hard time displaying them in my Gorowyn home. So far I've figured out how to attach them to the ceiling but that's miles above folk's heads. Even us Sarnaks. No one would ever see them there.

Is there some kind of rope I can install to hang them from, like above the banker in the Gorowyn? Any other suggestions (that don't involve betraying to a different city, hehe)?

I hung my lanterns in the doorways in my gorowyn house.To get them to stick properly i used a table and placed it in the doorframe at the height I wanted the lanterns to hang from (ctrl+scroll wheel to raise/lower) and then hung the lanterns from the table and removed the table.

Also, if you don't mind them floating, as it were, you can take a bookcase, hold ctrl and scroll your mousewheel to move it up vertically, hang a lantern from it, and remove the bookcase. Floating lanterns look cool anyways SMILEY

I keep a few freeport counters and some shelves in my bank for cases like this.

If you want them to hang lower in the middle of a room:1. stack up some counters to the height you want2. attach a shelf to the side about where you want the top of the strings to be. 3. Attach the latern to the bottom of the shelf. 4. remove the counters and shelf.

You can use the same fix that people use for all of the hanging lighting fixtures.

Domino, I LOVE these! I kept looking at them in Gorowyn and thinking "I really want those for my house!" I did notice one placement bug thought. I can attach them to the bottom of the beams in my 3 room house in FP but I can't attach them to the same type of beam in the FP apartments. I haved tried the 2 room or 5 rooms yet.

Even better! I forgot about scrolling which is easier then lugging a few FP counters around. Shelves work great if you want them up against a wall.
