I'm looking for websites on where to get some artistic brushes to use in the backgrounds of sigs, website banners etc that I might make. I've seen people mention different brushes in their tutorials but I'm not really sure where to get them or how to manipulate them. Help would be appreciated.

![]() Ok, I've found a few brushes that I want to play around with on DeviantArt.com. But I'm a total photoshop noob. How do I change the color or texture of these brushes. Like for example, I found a blood splatter brush, how do I give it a blood red color/texture? Anyone care to enlighten me? |

Just pick the brush you want and pick the color.

![]() I do have it set on the color I want, but it keeps putting some sort of pattern instead of the color I have selected. I can't figure out how to make it not do a pattern. I have my problem narrowed down to the circled thing. I can change the pattern that it puts on there, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get rid of it completely. |

Well firstly, you have the pattern stamp tool selected. If you want to use a brush, you should hit the B key or the button that looks like a paintbrush.
