If they only dispatch the CD's tomorow they won't be at my place before Friday the 16th.

dunno lol.. but i'd say hurry and cancel your preorder and buy form soe station store.... an mmorpg is competitive by its nature... a delay in delivery is not acceptable...

I am having the same problem with my retailer. They claim RoK release date is the 16th! Oh well I'll be out of town so I cant play until then anyways. Had I been home, I would have cancelled and bought the DD instead. It seems like SoE is screwing their European retailers again? I had the same problem with EoF, cancelled and bought the DD. Several days waiting for the expansion is normally not acceptable for me.

I strongly suggest you don't bother cancelling until late tomorrow if it hasn't been despatched by then. I say that because we all know the chances are we won't be playing much if at all tomorrow if the servers are down all day PST so you won't gain anything if you download tomorrow morning assuming the download function is working then.

Bear in mind also that no announcement has been made about scheduled downtime tomorrow. It could well be that there are last-minute problems. I don't see any reason to panic about getting the expansion - what's a day here or there anyway? Let others suffer the rollback and hotfixes !

well, a day means less item discos for you... (and yes, there are people who care about them, where there is a leaderboard people try to win)server downtime will prolly be till late evening in europe... something like 9 - 10 gmt would be my guess based on previous expansion launches

item discos come in serverwide and worldwide version, its basically a list of what player gets what new item first.

Same boat here - not dispatched according to the tracker.And release day tomorrow.

Generally I have got pre-orders a day or two before, not a day or six later.

Also noticed that the Preorder pet email info has disappeared from the page. But no email yet either.I do hope it is because they have ended the pre-order period, and not that they have dropped the pet hoping we don't notice.If they have changed the deal at this late stage I will not be happy.

I chose to order via Amazon to get the disks and the pet - as advertised. Otherwise I would have gone Direct to ensure I got the pet.

In Europe (inc. UK) games are normally released on a Friday. I can't think of an exception to this but I'm sure some exist. Anyway, it might be that the retail DVD version is actually released on Friday to be consistent with this fact, with the digital downloads available from tomorrow as they are pushed out by SOE themselves. It is probably worth getting in touch with the retailer to check. If it is indeed Friday then you may want to consider getting the digital download - depends on how much of a rush you are in as well.

Just wondering, does it get shipped from UK or does it come from the USA? Because today (Monday) is a holiday so no packages will be shipped out until tomorrow. Sorry if this sounds dumb, I don't know how amazon ships to other countries then the US, and where they have their warehouses where they ship from.

ok, seriously [Removed for Content] now. Yet again SOE can not deliver the game I want from them in the box I want from them to my door at the date SOE promised me I could play the game. (no, I am not living somewhere in the outback, but in one of the best logical sdupply countries World Wide)

I got this message from Amazon where I ordered well in time.:

Like I said - its not the retailer's fault - its SoE screwing them!

SoE does not want to sell disks, they want us all to DD, because disks cost money to make and ship. Simple as that.

Yep, I got the dreaded email from Amazon this morning as well saying that the estimated delivery date is 15/11/07 - 16/11/07 SMILEY

In previous years I've gone the digital download route and started playing as soon as the servers came up. This year I chose to go the boxed set route to get the new house item, but it seems I made the wrong choice!I had a look on station.com to try to buy the digital download instead, but it is no longer for sale. Strangely they still have the preorder listed for sale, but of course when you click it, nothing happens.I want Kunark, and I want in NOW! SMILEY

Anyways, My amazon pre order is cancelled. Will see when SOE wakes up and makes digi download availlable again. With their Customer Relationship history its probably after the Russians got a full translations, and the Germans get their updates in French.

It's probably "only" Amazon UK. I preordered RoK from Amazon Germany and got a mail yesterday stating it has been dispatched. So I assume it will arrive today. Then again the German version has it's own packaging and is not published by SOE directly, but a local company.

I am fairly certain that the UK version is made in either England or somewhere in Europe. SOE does have offices in England somewhere.A few games/DVD's etc are done like that, a master is sent from the USA and copied in Europe. Microsoft do it all the time.
