Wheeeee! The NDA has been lifted! An entire new tier of tradeskill goodness is in store for us, and while you'll have to wait on things like the actual recipes while our database is fully converted over to the new recipe format and other stuff like that, we do have several things for you to ogle over at EQ2Traders Corner.Fountains!Tailored Gi's!Rather than post here every time I add to the available goodies, I'm just going to give you a link to our master RoK Clearinghouse guide, and link the new information in there as we make it available. So far, it has a sneak peak at the new dress clothes (including pink ones for Winter!), the new crafted cloth, leather and metal armor fashions, and the new furniture that is going in for Tier 6 and Tier 7! (Tier 8's furniture gallery is going to be huge - I'm not coding it until I've had sleep, for fear I'll make a total hash of the HTML/php custom kludge that needs to be done for image galleries)

Since these are the ones most of the folks seem to want to see, I'll highlight them hereNew furniture in T6/T7 (mostly the "evil" stuff, but some other really sweet pieces, too!)T8 furniture - wow!Again, as we update or add more guides, they'll be linked in the master RoK Information Clearinghouse article

The mahogany bookcases are kinda depressing tbh since they look like the wizard/warlock bookcases from T7. However I deffinately want that Emerald and Ferrite hanging lanterns.

Actually, I think the mahogany bookcases look more like the old NPC ones that you can't (couldn't) get anymore, and I'm thrilled to have more versions of bookcases with books in them!

You can click on a bookcase and open a bin and put the books/tomes you have collected into them. The bookcase will the change size as necessary to accomidate the books. I can already put books on the bookcase but it takes some time and effort to do so.

Any screenshots of the new TS window yet? You'll see it tomorrow ... But, picture a Rectangle with 6 little boxes at the bottom (hotkeys 1-6) and stop sign on the right side and a picture of an open book on the other (left) and that's the new TS Crafting window in a nutshell. There really was no major overhaul for the window beyond fixing it so it can have it's own set of hotkeys. |

I'm already at the largest sized Qeynos residence...I just hoping that as almost the sole remaining member of my guild and sole active one that Guildhalls will have more room!

Any screenshots of the new TS window yet?I just finished up the guide that has the screenie in it.~~~~~ The RoK Information Clearinghouse guide that I threw up the other day will continue to be the main place on the site to get the EQ2TC RoK information gathered in one place. I want to make a special effort to point out one specific guide, however, called RoK Crafting Changes and You. I really, truly, recommend that you read it if you didn't thoroughly poke at crafting in beta, or you may be in for a few rough moments when you try to craft and your custom crafting UI crashes you, or your hotkeyed reaction arts don't work. (These two examples are happening for good reasons, and you will save yourself a ton of stress if you find out about them here, instead of finding out the hard way in the middle of a crafting session.) You are, of course, free to ignore my recommendation to read it, and I, in turn, will then feel free to say "I Told You So" when/if you complain, k? {grin}Nudge your crafting addict guildies to read it as well, or be ready to macro several answers when you're online after the patch.

I have only one question:Does the large redwood bookcase hold books just by putting them on the shelf, or do we have to do the fake placement using shelves that we currently do with the briarwood ones?

Well, I have a ton of questions, but just one for now: Can the 6 skill buttons in the new TS window be mapped to keys in the Options? I map the hotkeys also to the ZXCVBN keys, so I can rest my hand on the pad during those hours of crafting, to avoid carpal tunnel syndrome!

Bleah - reading the forums, much less trying to post today, is an exercise in frustration.Re the bookcase: Y'know, I didn't think to check the bookshelves for placement of books inside it (I knew I forgot something!) If none of the other testers know, I suppose we'll find out "soon."Re the UI remapping: I want to say no, but I'm not positive. That'd be a Silverfrost question - or something to find out as soon as we're able to log in.

You can still put them on a hotbar like you use to. (edit - or so the write-ups say .. ) |

I tried finding a place in the options to map the tradeskill window hotkeys to, and failed.

How'd you guess I was coming over to post?!There is a lot of talk about faction with the new expansion, and some of it includes high level crafters, not just adventurers. Hot off the virtual presses today (Friday), check out RoK Faction from a Tradeskill Perspective to gain insight into why you might (or might not) want to pursue these faction path options.
