I am a newbie - well been playing 3-4 weeks - I am loving the game and need to consider the expansions I think. I have heard a rumour that the Rise of Kunark expansion will contain all previous expansions if this is the case I will wait a couple of weeks if not which expansion should I buy 1st?

Hi and welcome! Yes it's an awesome game for sure. SMILEY

Yes the expansion will contain everything to date.  The best option if you can is to wait.  Go ahead and pre-order and you will be set.   I understand that eventually there will be incremental downloads so it's not a massive load on launch day.

*Now if I can just convince my friend to try it out*  SMILEY

It's fact.

Hang in there and you'll get the lot (minus the adventure packs ) for a single fee

I don't know if the European version is different or if the store linked in the quote just got it wrong, but the three adventure packs are also included in the RoK package. https://store.station.sony.com/digi...2-DD1107-ROKPRE

If you already have all expansions and get new one how do you install it? Do you just upgrade account and put in number or slap disk in and pray it knows what to do?

It knows what to do.  You go to your account and enter the expansion code and it does the rest.

If you put the disks in it will cut down your DL time slightly, but there will still be alot to download as they are still working on it and they started making the disks a week or two ago. However, wither or not you put the disks in you have to find the account code in the box(usually a sticker near the disks) and enter that code into your account.

Do be sure to read carefully before purchasing the digital download. In  the past, getting it direct from SOE meant you got the EXPANSION ONLY, whereas the box set or the European digital purchase sites DID include everything.I pre-ordered the physical box from Amazon.com.  The new areas will be totally overrun the first few days ANYWAY, and I won't get it more than a day or two after the release date. Heck, I haven't gone and seen the new Shard of Fear area yet!
