Have you ever wondered what other people thought about the various zones in EQII?  Perhaps you need some help deciding where to go and what to do while playing EQII or maybe you lean more towards wanting to help others make educated choices about where and how to spend their game time.  Either way here is a chance for you, the EQII Community, to offer your critiques about selected zones in EQII and help influence your fellow community members on where and how they spend their time.

Each week, provided we get community participation in this, one zone from EQII will be selected for review.  This week Everfrost is the selected zone.

You don't have anything good to say about the selected zone?  We are not looking for just glowing, positive reviews; honesty is what is desired for all zone reviews.  Keep your review constructive and negative reviews will be acceptable.   You are welcome to include screen shots as well if you wish.

Please submit your zone review & screen shots by email with the subject as "Zone Review - Everfrost" to [email protected] no later then Sunday, October 14th at 11:59pm PDT.   Keep in mind, there is no guarantee that your zone review will be used.  We will limit the number of reviews used to keep the feature on EQ2Players manageable and the reviews chosen will be at the discretion of the SOE Community Team.  We will choose well written and constructive reviews from those received and feature them on EQ2Players on Tuesday, October 16th.

With your review submission please include your:

Character nameCharacter levelServer

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Here are some suggestions on topics you can use if you need a hand getting started.

- Level range you suggest for this zone- 2 or 3 quests you suggest as absolutely must be done in this zone (include level requirement and starting NPC)- Your opinion about the difficulty of the zone- Did you enjoy spending time in this zone?  Explain why you did or did not enjoy it.- What do you think of the overall look of the zone?- What do you think of the layout of the zone?- What are your favorite story/lore parts of the zone?- Is this zone good for harvesting?- Best pull-to spot- Best places to find "shinies"- Interesting loot you've found there- Where you've found named NPCs- Where it's dangerous to go/level range

*sigh* yet another zone i have hardly been in SMILEY. Though the irony is that from my little experience there it is one of my favourite areas. I begged my characters to adventure in there more, but none listened. 'Too cold' they said. They can be quite stubborn sometimes, though i did sympathize with my Iksar.Guess i'm saving it, like some precious object or food to be coveted from afar.

Hey yeah! great idea *bonks self on head* a 'stickied' post for this would be great.Oh and another idea that might or might not be good Kytherea. Perhaps you could combine the current zone review and the poll for the next zone review together? That way, theoretically, we could just jump straight in (everyone would see it), see what the current zone is, and vote on the next one. It might make things a lot easier for you too *shrug*. I don't know, just feeding off Killerbee3000's idea SMILEY. Also, who do we have to send love notes/cookies/etc... to get this great idea of yours Kytherea into the Treasure Chest news section on the EQ2 staionplayers homepage? SMILEYSeems at the moment, advertisement of this idea is the only thing holding it back?

I am afraid that Everfrost, even more so that Lavastorm, simply does not have sufficient Quests to make it worthwhile spending much time there solo, nor is there anything particularly fascinating to appeal to groups.  The few solo quests in particular are disjointed, some being easy, and others ludicrously had or tedious.  If you are in a rush to solo level from 30 to 50, then the ELands/Zek/SSands/Steamfont areas are far more than enough.  It's also a bit of a confused zone, IMHO, with two distinct areas - Left for the Minotaurs/Valkyries, Right for the Goblins/giants - that have very little interaction.

And as for that bloomin' shark, Dreadwake - try getting enough people together to kill him, at an appropriate level........

Pad it out Oldsnowy, and submit it as a review. SMILEY

It's nice zone but it's pity it is filled with heroic mobs.Teams now days don't bother to fight outdoor zones, and you can't solo the zone unless you are level 60+ and then fight gray mobs.If you could make it just a non-heroic zone it would be soo much better.

I hope this zone can be improved with feedback.  It was one that has much potential but is underutilized.

Been away for awhile (both the game and the forums), what is this 'Community Zone Review'?

Why are the zones being changed? Is this 'Community Zone Review' a pre-emptive covering-of-butts so when people (naturally) complain about the changes SoE can point to these threads and say "but we only did what the players asked"

No the zone reviews are not indicitative of any changes being made.  Consider them to be like movie reviews you might read to see if you would go see that movie.

Oh, ok, that's not as bad as ah thought (ah apologise for jumping to the wrong idea, the comments ah glossed over didn't help and problems with change in billing didn't make me view thing too clearly)
