I'm new to the dirge and had a quick question.  In which order are the stats of importance to the dirge class?

I know STR adds to CA dmg, AGI and INT adds to mana pool while INT adds to spell dmg.  But my question for those experienced dirges out there, in which order to you prioritize when choosing gear?

Thanks for your time!

This would be different depending on if you were on a PvP server.

what is the general recommendation for focus on a PvP server? Sorry but I'm fairly new to game and I don't see this laid out well for a Dirge on the PvP forums.

For PvP, it's probably:

STA for survivability then STR then INT for dps then AGI for power pool maybe.

I don't have much PvP experience, but my understanding is that there's a premium on survivability.

Definately STA.  INT and STR are probably equal.  Since your armor will be primarily STA and STR based, try to get yourself some INT jewelry to offset.

If you intend to group alot in PvP, I'd lean more INT (Let the DPS do the workload).  If solo more STR.

If you are raiding, you will want INT / AGI (in that order of importance) far ahead of any other stat. Despite Dirges being hybrids (both caster and melee) our big damage CA's are mostly if not all, based on INT. Both those stats also govern your power pool, and your going to need all you can get.

I wouldn't quibble with anyone's raid expertise, but it's been pretty definitively shown that STR-based attacks -- CAs and autoattack -- are roughly 2/3 of our output, and INT-based attacks -- Spells -- are roughly 1/3.  The damage from all the CAs is STR, not INT based.  This is somewhat balanced by the fact that INT contributes to power pool, while STR does not, and that due to the nature of scout equipment STR is more likely to be near-cap than INT is, making incremental INT somewhat more valuable.

Whysp is correct.  Int effects Luda's, Wail, Banshee and Lanets... the rest are Strength based, so is Auto Attack, so are Blade Chimes...  Agility effects avoidance and power- its not very important; Strength then Intelligence are.EDIT: And Jarol's as well is Int based, I almost forgot cause that skill sucks soooo much.  Regardless: Stab, Grievance, Infected Blade, Scream of Death, Garsins, Cacophony, Master Strike and Auto attack are all based off our Strength.

I focus on INT and STR equally.  I don't worry about AGI at all and it's plenty high enough because a lot of gear has AGI on it.  Bear in mind that you don't want it really low either, but AGI comes naturally to the dirge.  I raid mostly, so I put some focus on STA/Health and resists too.  I look for an all around mix of INT/STR/Health/Resists.
