I'm trying to get my Erudite Dirge from Qeynos to Kelethin so I can level him up there. I'll probably level to 10 or so on the Island, so I won't be a really high level. Directions would be appreciated.

![]() You can't get higher than level 9 on newbie island - everything is gray to you at 9 so no more XP there. Kelethin is the city. You want Greater Faydark, the zone, not just the city. Simplest way of course is to find a sorcerer who will, for a fee (it costs them 30s to cast the spell), port you to GF. You can't get a druid to do it since you have to have already been there and picked a leaf at each druid ring before you can be ported there by a druid. If no sorcerer is available enter Antonica and make your way to a griffon station. Ride the bird to the Thundering Steppes station. Run overland from the station to the TS gate. Enter the TS and run to the docks. At the far end of the docks wait for the boat to arrive. Boat will take you to the Butcher Block docks. Climb the long, steep ramp to the mesa. There you have 2 choices, run overland to the GF zone point, following the faint yellow path on the road, or doing the griffon quest so you can fly the bird. Both have places where some aggro mobs will be close so the choice is yours. (advantage of doing the bird quest is that once done you fly over all the aggro) If you are patient you can avoid the aggro. Zone point into GF is at the far end of Butcher Block. Once you zone into GF cross the treant grove, climb orc hill, cross the orc area, run down the hollow log, turn right at the bottom of the log and follow the road. Signs indicate the direction of Kelethin. Good luck to you.

What about the magic carpet in Qeynos harbor? Go to Sinking Sands -> Butcherblock docks. Takes 2 minutes, no risk

OP can absolutely take the carpet but that puts him in the same place as the boat and all I posted after that still holds true.

I believe there's one at the top of the ramp up from the docks that'll take you to the GFay zone line. You do, though, have to do a gryphon-egg quest like in Thundering Steppes and Nek Forest. This shouldn't be too hard, aggro's spread out enough there to find the eggs and harvest them. There's also horses in GFay, with a station at the Butcherblock line and at Kelethin itself, but as in LFay you have to visit the stations before you can use the horses. |

![]() You can run through butcherblock from the docks to GF without getting aggro - the biggest danger, due to their speed and seemingly random flightpath are the aggro shrillers just short of Kaladim - keep off the path to the left nearer the heroic graniteback gorillas - they are tough but slow moving so you can dodge them. Look out for the aggro draconians that sit on and around the rock piles near the path there as well. Once past the shrillers (zoom right back and lower your view perspective to see more of the sky) keep to the path. Once you are near GF there are a few wandering kobolds that cross the path so just time your run through. |

I made the opposite journey, from Kelethin to Qeynos, and I gotta say it was a lot of fun running through all the aggro in Butcherblock and Thundering Steppes. I made an epic journey out of it. You won't always get to go on dangerous journeys through these zones so I suggest going the long way the first one or two times you go from city to city, and save the carpet rides for when those zones no longer give any agro to you. It's very satisfying
