So who all is going... AGI 4/4/8 STA 4/4/8 INT 4/5/8 When changes go live? I know I am =) I think these changes could really up our parses with the right weapon/encounters

sigh....I was just on test and noticed that Avenging Invigoration is now 10% recovery timers 10% recast timers 10% increased casting speed lol now I have no clue what what I wanna do...I have prayed for faster casting speeds forever

Hrm. That's the way it's always been. (The casting speed thing.) The new part is the recovery timer. The new boost to AGI certainly will be tempting. I'm sure I'll end up trying it but I do enjoy the end of STR too.

Yeah, the description in the spell is pathetic. I noted that about the recovery thing too. I think even the Devs are confused about the meanings of recast, reuse, recovery. I can tell you with confidence though that it does make you cast faster. As an example, abominable wrath normally would be a 2 second cast and 1 minute recast. I have endline of STR which makes it 1.82 sec cast (/shrug) and 54.5 recast. Similar with Blessing, 1.82 cast, 13.6 recast.

Ok then heheh...I had Avenging but specd out and couldnt test this on live w/o spending plat...So thanks for this...looks like im going AGI =) One thing I did notice when I had Avenging was...I actually parsed alot better with max melee crits and max Battle Leadership then when I had Avenging /shrug

LoL. Yeah. I personally think it's a nice credit that they gave crusaders a decent set of AAs that I have terrible time trying to decide what is the best. Some of my other toons it's just a no-brainer because 3 or 4 out of 5 lines completely suck. Could ours be better? Yep. Could they be a ton worse? Yep. . Anyway, to answer your first question. I'll probably try that spec sometime. (I've even pondered blasphemy by going 4,4,8 STR, AGI,STA) to push melee hard. I'm kinda skeered to try that though as I've never gone without spell (and hence tap) crits ever.

STR was always 10% faster casting speed and 10% faster recast, so new is only the 10% recovery

Isn't the teleport ability the second ability down in the Agi line now? If so then that's just awesome and I'm on board.

It should have said increases speed of reuse and casting timers by 10%. Recovery is DIFFERENT then reuse. Reuse effects your reuse timer on spell. Casting effects your casting timers. Recovery effects Global Cool Down on your spells. Any illusionist would know this all to well. Everyone has a global cool down of 0.5 seconds and it is "hidden" beihend the spell. The only time that you will see "recovery" on a spell is if you have something to effect the global cool down. Time compression or the agi line of an illusionist both reduces recovery (agi effects themselves TC reduces targets recovery by 50%). Hope that helps you all out who havent encountered recovery befor. |

just on a side note, since it was mentioned here too, battle leadership in the Wisdom line seems to do very good. it adds up to +34 (if I am not mistaken right now) in all necessary skills, the most important being your weapon skills and disruption, which gives me a 10% higher to-hit percentage in raids than a SK in the same raid who ist specced full STR and 4-4-8 INT. And I rarely happen to be the OT so my group setup is not the best at all times, still I parse alot higher than him. I myself am still hesitating on what my new AA setup will look like. I will surely skip the WIS line again, although the test was not too bad. But I think you give up alot other stuff that could be more important. I thought of going AGI line too, but the 40% chance of hitting mobs in your front range would only be suitable for the big groups of mobs. What does the AGI line give us for the big bosses? Is the increase in defensive ability worth it? I actually tend to go back to full STR for the end ability since even faster casting alone is awesome, not to mention the faster recovery.

Iam going to finish out the Str and Int. The Reflect works as long as you are main target. Not on PBAoEs. Just seeing a wardens dogs reflected back dif it for me!
