Hey, im thinking of rolling an enchanter b/c i want a class that is challenging and very rewarding. From what i have read on the forums, the enchanter classes seem that way. But here is my problem. I have very little money in the game. I am going to roll on a high pop server because im sick of having my main server (venekor) slowely become a pve server. With that said, which class has an easer time with an untwinked life style? a coercer or an illusionist (and if i want to change classes later on i could always just betray)

![]() I rolled an enchanter as one of my alts recently... he made more money in the first 15 levels than my main templar did in his first. In fact, he was feeding plat back to my main. I do play with combat xp off though, which slows how fast you level drastically, focusing on quests. Its also much easier to build up plat this way, and keep well geared.

Enchanter (especially Coercer) Masters are cheaper than Sorcerors and a bargain relative to Summoners (who are regularly price-gouged, especially their pet spells).

Both enchanters can solo everything and plat farm pretty decently, but the illusionist is alot easier to solo with. In addition, once you get the level 34 pet, it helps with roots tremendously, making named farming at least 10 times easier (and faster!) than it would be with a coercer. Oh and about needed upgrades....well there are none that are needed for an illu. You don't need to upgrade crowd control spells since the only thing that changes is resistability (and app1 to adept 1 all have the same resist rate after this next LU, pet included), and you don't need to upgrade nukes since you'll never run out of mana anyway. The only spells worth upgrading would be breeze and your HP->MP siphon, just so that you aren't as reliant on gear for mana. Upgrading nukes would make things go faster, yes, but arent anywhere near necessary. Coercer on the other hand - you NEED a master charm. Its not optional. If its not master, its useless. Then you should upgrade the mana spells as well, just like the illu. Either way, both enchanters can solo almost any named in game as long as its not orange/red, even when naked and using app1s. Just that its much easier with an illu.

I looked around at the AA posts and i got that i should go down agi first then wis. Is that right or should i do something else first Also does anyone have any pictures of Illus at higher lvls? i want to see the gear. Also what races look cool or what races should i choose |

If you wanna just solo i think agiwis is better than agiint just for the +subj that reduces the resists on stuns and roots. But agiint is also a viable option as it does 40+% more dps than agiwis. SO those are the best 2 options. If you plan to raid or group depending on how much your guild needs mez (some do like mine some dont like mays) will determine spec. If they just want you to dps then go agiint if they want you to CC often enough (excluding the rare chance with some nameds) then agiwis is better. |

Go AGI/WIS as you level up, especially if you are soloing. When you hit level 70 and start raiding, go AGI/INT. I suggest doing AGI until you get chrono, then go 4x4x4x8 WIS, then go back to finish AGI. People have no idea how smooth our life is as an illy with the WIS line. Only when you spec out of it do you realize how useful it was. It's not as flashy as the INT line, but boy is it nice when you can rely on your CC spells 100% of the time, and your focus is so high that you never get interrupted, and your resists are so solid that mobs can barely touch you with their spells. And, in reality, the INT line only makes a noticeable difference when you are under 30% power. If not, then you will get only about 10-15% DPS increase.
