Just a quick question... How important is Avoidance to an SK, in both PvE and PvP circumstances?

ITs important enought to have a decent avoidance, but we also want to be hit just enought o have our blessing get all used up before its time to recast it. SMILEY

Sounds decent. SMILEY Are your blessing lasting as long as you wish and is your health staing comfortably high? And remember, against raid mobs, only block matter.

Bottomline,  try to hit 50% at least in avoidance, mitigaiton and resists cuz you get bigger return per point invested if you are well below 50%, anything over 50% surely slows down alot per point invested thanks to diminishing return.. Once you got 50% in all three areas then you are a solid tank in most situation..

Lendari, you said that against raid mobs only Block matters.  Not sure I understand.  I can see how mitigation and avoidance would be severely decreased by say a lvl 75 mob, but even con or yellow mobs shouldnt avoidance and mit still be real important?

Block has UNCONTESTED avoidance. That means it gives flat % avoidance REGARDLESS of mob's level and its type (heroic and epic).. Other avoidance types are contested means higher and tougher mob, less % avoidance you will experience..  So.. Block is very important factor against raid mobs.. If you get 20% off block, you will avoid 20% no matter what mob you are fighting against grey or uber god epic lvl 100 mob. SMILEY If you get 20% dodge from defense for example then you'll get maybe 0% dodge against uber god epic level 100..

NOT TRUE!

after the raid debuffs the Epic everything matters

your statment is only true on the second of the pull your raid will debuff the epic down to reality
