Odd title I know, but trying to make it as informative as possible.

Anyway

Bought a new PC, it has Vista on it (I know, silly schoolboy error). Vista Home Premium 32 Bit.

Now, I play EQ2 in windowed mode, as I like to switch around while crafting, raiding and do other stuff. Not essential, just a nice to have. But, since I got the new PC and put EQ2 back on it, I cannot run in Windowed mode.

The game runs fine, and keyboard control is fine. But the mouse drags itself to the top left hand corner, and I cannot move it out, keeps dragging itself up there.

When I switch to fullscreen, mouse is fine.

No other game has this problem, that I have noticed.

I have latest mouse/video drivers, so don't think it's that.

Anyone else have a similar problem, or any ideas about what to try?

I can still play in full screen, and happy to do so, just curious as to why this is happening in Vista.

I've had this same problem since upgradeing to Vista myself.  Does anyone know of a fix for this problem?  This isn't a game ending problem for me, just a little head scratcher that i would like to fix if possible.

Wow, I am really sorry. I should have updated this thread a long long time ago.I did fix it, now I need to try to remember what I did.I can tell you this straight off the bat, it is nothing to do with drivers, the mouse, the pc etc. It is all about a single Vista setting. From memoryGo to the desktop, right click, select personalise. On the left is the list of tasks, select "Adjust font size (DPI)"Now, my problem was that I had Larger Scale (120 DPI) selected. As soon as I switched this to "Default scale (96 DPI)" the problem vanished.OK, how can I 100% guarantee this is what fixed it? Well, I had EQ2 running at the time, minimised. The problem was there. I shut EQ2, did this one thing and when I started EQ2 again, problem gone. Why did I do it? No idea. I was obviously divinely inspired at the time!Anyway, hope this helps people!
