I would trade the mutt for a dot or a boost to my existing dot in a heartbeat.

Why does it never stop barking?

Mine doesn't bark. Maybe you should turn down your ambient volume

My dog doesn't live long enough for it's barking to annoy me.

I've never noticed my dog barking, and I keep him up all the time. (while keeping my sound settings high enough I hear the wind blowing and other ambient stuff easily).

doggy does bark and often. but maybe our game designers should change 1 thing about this dog and that would be immune to AoE/AE damage or maybe more HP with faster regen ( not enough to take a couple direct hit but maybe enough for couple AoE/AE). i know we get an AA that does this. cannot remember where but seems way down 1 line.

this DoT we get that barks is kinda low DMG so would be nice to last a while longer

I would love if they revamped the AA trees and threw out the ridiculously weak EOF res line and replaced it with a pet enhancement line.  I wouldn't expect it to be strong, but at least enough that our pet wouldn't die so easily.  I suspect that options like increase pet defense 2/4/6/8/10 and increase pet health 3/6/9/12/15% etc. would be a lot more popular than the current res line is.

I love Puppy, yappy or no, I guess after a while I tune him out (much like I do my kids... SMILEY ).

All of my AA since the EOF tree bloomed have landed there, I would love to see an AA line similar for my dog.  Personally, I do not care for the 'Shaman' tree, but it is time to pay more attention to it.

Hehe, that might be why I haven't noticed him barking. I just tune it out.

Druids (without dog illusion turned off) and dogdog bark and bark often, like toy poodles seeing an avatar of Cthulhu for the first time.  Its noticable in Kelethin, but less noticable when adventuring due to the other sounds of combat.
