Has anyone found a mod or add on that shows you when your poison runs out of charges? It would be really helpful to have a message pop up or something so that you aren't fighting for like ten minutes wondering why your DPS seems kind of low only to realize that your poison wore off and you forgot to reapply. Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

10 minutes? LOL, were you stoned? Kidding aside, no I don't know of any add-ons. I've gotten into the habit of mousing over the icons between fights. That's about all I can recommend atm. Maybe someone else has something more productive to add.

All I can say is I would give my firstborn son for some kind of notification that poison has run out.  I usually catch it after one or two fights but.... missing the dps for even one or two fights is a bad bad thing.  What might also work would be a way to "continuously use" poison ie when one bottle runs out you automatically start using the next bottle until you have no posion at all in your inventory.

/agree... Imo it should be like drinks... It should replenish itself if there are more in the slot.

That would only work if you put them somewhere, like a charm slot or something. Auto adding a new poison wouldn't work for me as I change poisons depending on what I am doing. Raiding vs soloing vs grouping, I might use 2 or 3 different poisons types in each subset, so I am carrying 6-9 different types. Without having a dedicated slot, the game wouldn't know which one to add.

It could apply the one that just ran out...

I wouldn't like poisons to reapply like drinks. I'd always be forgetting to turn the auto-consume off, just like I do with the food and drink. I do think it would be helpful if the maintained spells icon started flashing when a poison starts to get low as a queue that reapplying will be necessary before the next fight. Maybe 10% of the total charges?

i like the idea of it acting like a food/drink slot, where you can toggle it on or off......cant count how many times i've forgotten to re-apply my poisons!!!

Maybe you also want to find a mod that casts your CAs in proper order to make the best raid dps, eh? [/sarcasm off] Reapplying poisons is one of the few things a ranger have to pay attention to ... so just keep your eyes open for your maintained buffs SMILEY

QFT.

Its really not that hard to look at your screen and see if you still have poison up after each fight. Or mouse over your poison from time to time and check how many procs you have left. Poisons make up a decent chunk of our DPS, so even if the above 2 ways dont work for you, if you check your parse after each fight, you should notice a drop in your DPS.

You're right if you're talking about raids. Which I assume you are. I don't raid very much. I was just on my first T7 raid the other day actually and I was like "Wow this is kind of fun but if I did it all the time I'd be bored." Because frankly our job is pretty lazy on raids. In groups, however, I am paying attention to a lot more than just when my poison runs out and my combat spam (Which we also have to watch on raids so we know when to do CAs to fit in between our AAs). I'm paying attention to positioning and running around and getting my stuns in and watching the tank's life bar so that in the event he dies I'm ready to switch to targeting directly so I can burn the mob down before the group wipes, etc. I don't think it's horrible that we have to watch our poisons. I was just wondering if there was an easier way. We're told when we're out of arrows, we don't have to check our quiver after every fight. I don't think it's really unreasonable to look for something to help us in this aspect of our class.

wow you really went to the extreme other end of the spectrum on your answer huh. if you wanna feel like an airline pilot having to flip 300 hundred switches before taking off to make a game fun for ya cool, but why belittle anyone for wanting less? fact is im lazy as hell when it comes to making sure poisons are on and weather i got food or not, be cool if there was a mod to take care of that for me as that option would not make or break the game for me.SMILEY and thats what was cool about the idea because if ya wanted to use it you could and if not.....simply dont use it.....great idea in my book in any case
