![]() Just wondering if anyone had any hints for Mad Tzikla , the one with the curse of insanity. His adds seem to do massive power drain then he hits you with COI, and bang there goes your raid. We had the tank in the corner across from the door and the raid at max range, either we had people dying with full power or the drain combo with COI was hitting raid wide and then just killing everyone. I think the MT got hit with 2500 point power drain then COI killed him right away. We did use AOE blocker when it was up and MT lived but the rest of the raid died so that didn't work. Tried mezzing them but they seem to have very high mental resist because every time 1/2 of them would resist. Is this another just AOE your [Removed for Content] off to burn down the adds as fast as possible? Is it possible to pull the adds back from him so only the OT is getting hit with the power drain, but COI seemed to hit raid wide so not sure that would help. |

As far as I know there is no power drain. You need to burn down the adds asap and watch that your power doesnt get below 50%. If you don't get the adds killed fast enough then you get hit with a big AoE. |

His adds are the ones that aoe+power drain, and the named itself casts CoI. Adds have jack squat for hp though, so they die from ranged aoe fast enough... and CoI has a chance to kill you every tick if you're under a certain power %, I routinely go as low as 40% power with it on me and not die.

Keep the raid at max range down the hall as best as possible. Run Bladedance in any group you can, run manacloak in any group you can, and blow everything you have to burn the adds down as soon as humanly possible. If the adds drop very quickly, you won't get manadrained and the named himself is pretty standard.

AOE fast and kill the adds. Bard AOE block is useful also in this part of the fight.

Bladedance (just before killing the mob that spawns Tikka) and AE down the adds fast, you should not mezz the other mobs as each one is a little ticking bomb that you don't want going off (mezzing them does not stop them exploding).

![]() We used a ranger trap (wow, semi-useful ranger ability) placed where named/adds pop to lockdown the adds. It dosent work on the epic so the named will just ignore the trap and come for the MT/whoever. This roots the heroic adds so they can be range AOE'd without the casters getting to close (in-case they explode/drain power). Sounds like alot of work but this was really easy after we found out where they poped. Never failed if DPS saved AOE bombs and got adds before trap ended. The way Curse of Insanity works is, 1st) Raid is cursed (pretty-much unavoidable). 2nd) Every once in a while the named uses a trigger AOE (normally isnt seen in ACT or combat logs). The trigger AOE checks if your cursed AND power is below 50%. If so you die. So you can dip under 50% and not die until he shoots his trigger AOE to check. I've no idea if CA extenders slow down the time between the triggers, or if AOE avoiders work against the trigger. |

![]() you have 10sec from pop (so 8sec once they render) to kill them. They dont have alot of HP if you have a warlock/conj you should be able to waste them in 2 or 3 sec but everybody hitting there aoe spells takes them down pretty fast. I'd just have everybody target the named and blanket aoe, if 10s pass they blow up and drain power of people in the area causing the curse of insanity to make your head explode. |

The way we do it is stack the raid on top of the mob that spawns Tzikla. When that mob hits 1-2% have bards bladedance or druids tortoise shell, target Tzilka and do MASSIVE ae damage to burn down the adds before the AE immunity runs out. After that just burn Tzikla down pretty easy. We tried before seperating the adds and this way just works much better.
