Well its not like *everyone* is doing SBR Heritage now, is this book more rare than the others? Its rarely ever on the broker, and when it is, its for like 5-7pp. For a level 28 book! (Level 28 has a the palladium bangle, which is needed for that HQ) So I decided to farm bone lake in Nek and the vicinity since its mostly in that level range (I was there HOURS with a 2-box combination) And of course, murphys law in effect, I pretty much got every level 27, 28, and 29 book *OTHER* than Jeweler 28 and 29 (Jeweler 29 is like 1pp) - Yes, I'm sure its all RNG, but jeez, thats just unreal. Maybe make it more common? Grinding worthless mobs in Nek just to get a book is real blah. Heck, the mobs are soon to be grey, and I'll have to roll a new char or find someone to mentor (for HOURS) just to get this book! It was never this bad pre-LU24. I never remember spending more than a few gold to get any book below 50 - maybe 10-15g from time to time if there was only one seller. This book expensive on your server? agressiv

Difficult, frustrating, and glad I don't have to repeat -that- experience. |

![]() It's just rare. Everyone I know who looks for it? Takes them days if they ever get it at all! I cleared Bone Lake and over to N'Marr's and then West and North.. for *three* days. Finally got mine in RoV off of level 28 goo-like creatures.

I also got it off the lvl 28's in the good/skellie room there. My necro was barely able to solo the heroics in there... But I got it 2 times....

Didn't realise this was rare as got it really quickly in Nek - but guess that's the luck of the draw! I have found one or two of the Carpenter books equally difficult to find and have just had to bite the bullet and pay more than I'd like.

![]() I don' think it's rare at all, at least in terms of chance to drop vs. any other book of the same level. And it's chance isn't that low if hunting level 28 mobs. It's just that level 28 mobs aren't heavily hunted by most people. I'm advancing all 9 crafting professions and won't buy the advanced books if they cost more than around 1 gold. The drop rate on these is pretty high if you're hunting mobs of the level and no specific profession book is particularly rare. I regularly will lock xp and go hunt mobs of the level of any books I'm in need of that aren't selling at decent prices and have, so far, gotten a total of 5 of the jeweler 28 books. I'm mentoring down and still fighting 28 and 29 mobs on and off, because I'm missing advanced armorer 29 and advanced jeweler 27 and 29. The power of random dictates that my chances of getting them is the same as all the ones I've seen as many as 10 copies of.. on every kill. There's good money in the books from 27-29 mobs though and I'm harvesting and getting rares at the same time as hunting, so I'm not complaining. I see OP finally got his to drop, but for anyone who reads this thread that needs this book and can't afford to buy it, the best farming I've found is around Bone Lake in Nek (as someone already mentioned), in the water south of Coldwind Griffon station in Antonica (only farm here if you have access to water breathing or it will be inconvenient as heck), and undead tight in the corner of Antonica up by Varsoon. Other fair places are anywhere else up in northern Nek and anything along the southern end of Antonica. I imagine there are also some decent places over in Butcherblock, but I haven't spent much time over there yet. My favorite place is the southern waters of Antonica and around Varsoon, I get typically 3 to 5 advanced books in a half hour in either place. |

Thanks for posting your hunting spots! I'm going to have to level a bit then go camp these. Jewlery isn't for sale on Unrest atm at any price and like you I don't like to pay over 1g for books (although since someone wanted me to make something today I'd have gone higher) so I will most likely need to find my own. Several classes of the 28s were missing entirely from the broker today and most of the ones that were there were extremely expensive. For people at the right level this sounds like a great way to make money although personally I will sell for what I'd want to pay so there will be some happy people of other classes when I go hunting my jewlery book.

I have found a surprising number of people willing to pay/barter a book for some of the recipes in that book to be made.. (and on pvp servers of course books are way more expensive), and this seems to me a good deal for all, I made 3 adept III scout runes from a hard to find book for someone the other day in exchange for that book (and the source rares of course). She was happy (the book is a LOT cheaper than the runes would be), I was very happy.

I looted a copy on a Cove of Decay raid. The skeleton groups range from level 26-29, and there is no lock out if you don't kill Octo or the Captain.

![]() Hail my fellow Unrest citizen. I have gotten that recipe to drop multiple times in an evening by killing the 27-29^^^ skeletons near the back entrance to RoV. You may have luck getting what you need there. They also drop the other rare recipes in that range...like the sage one. Happy hunting! |
