I'm shocked this still isn't live. Clearly SoE wants to lose more of its player base to VG due to its lack of content.Really shocked, but come to think of it this is patented Sony...

Being that GU32 is when they've been aiming for it to go in, why are you shocked it's not in with GU31?

Please do go to Vanguard so I can quit wasting my time reading these kinds of posts. SoE has clearly stated several times that Unrest won't be in til GU32.http://eq2.allakhazam.com/news/sdetail8569.html?story=8569Edit: Included the link to prevent your next post.

Accually eventhough I have repeated it many time is BOLD RED type to prevent moronic posts like this. They accually said that they HOPE to have it in in 2 or 3 Updates, this was after LU30 and 30+2 = 32 and 30+3=33 so don't look for an Unrest until ATLEAST LU32, and being as LU31 has been on Test for ATLEAST 2 weeks and there was no Unrest on Test, I would think that that was a BIG clue that Unrest would not be in this update

[I cannot control my vocabulary] and kiss some more [Removed for Content]. I see people leaving left, and right on my server. I hear of some servers being like ghost towns. And I buy an expansion ages ago, and we still dont have unrest in. To me this seems like some serious [I cannot control my vocabulary] dragging. And your lame [I cannot control my vocabulary] comments of go buy VG, leave were better with out you...man some of you knobs are blind sheep. I have played this game since launch, and know what its like to be fooked around try having your main as a coercer since launch, and we can talk...until then save your candy [I cannot control my vocabulary] comments...

Seriously... EQ2 has had 3 add on packs, 3 full blow expansions and alot of extra added zones in under 3 years. If that is too little for you then good luck finding another MMORPG putting out that much content. It took WoW this long just to release 1 expansion and if you think that Vanguard is going to be putting expansion sout as fast as EQ2 then you are in for a huge disapointment. Believe me... I am the first in line to badmouth SoE for stupid moves but they have got the content going at am amazing rate. ![]() BTW I play a templar so you can't tell me that I don't know how to be bent over by SoE. :smileysad:

Sorry, but when people say things like this, it makes me laugh. And yea, there's content if you wanna play an alt, or do level 10 kill 10 wolves quests. There really is a lack of content, especially at 70, and there is absoutely NO reason at all that Unrest isn't here yet, [Removed for Content] the exception of lazy SoE. But its not, so I go on. |

I am sorry the OP and you are both wrong. Unrest was NEVER slated to be released w EOF. In fact it was added in BETA as an additional zone that will be released AFTER EOF was released. They said this MANY MANY times. On several posts. In fact ~2-3 weeks after EOF came out they gave an estimated completion date of LU32 (worse case Lu33) as the release date for Unrest. You are wrong and idiot and complaining about something that is not and was not ever suppose to be due w EOF. Now if you want to complain about class hats and KOS then go ahead. They animation department screwed the pooch on that one. |

![]() Heh. Nevermind that other games put out "expansions" for free for the most part? WoW has practically doubled in size since release, not including the burning crusade, and at the cost of nothing to the playerbase. Same goes for EVE Online, City of Heroes, and others. So yeah SOE is the only one who charges for piddly content updates and calls them "expansions" or better yet "advanture packs". So sorry I don't buy this argument. |

Unrest is just the latest in a LONG line of new zones added free to eq2. Every Udate to EQ2 (with the exception of 1 or 2) has had major content adtions in it, maybe not to area's you would like to see it added but you can't please everyone. SO Twice as many Free updates as WoW, 3times the number of Full expaintions and 3 mini-expaintions. Yeah SoE is ripping you off. Also complaining that Unrest did not come out atleast 1 update befor it was suposed to come out, is like complaining that Burning Crusade did not come out Nov18th when it was supos... wait it didn't did it. |

To attain 50aa's and reach 100 since EoF launched....At lvl 70 You run out of quests, raid & regular named to kill very fast, you run out of zones to explore for discovery, and collection quests have run dry also at this point... Your probably at 75-80aa if your lucky imo. Now to finish off your AA (Because lets face it grinding is not an option) how many of you have had to mentor the rest of the way to finish off these aa? I mean is this what the designers thought was content? I have had to mentor daily, and do every timeline quest below lvl 60 including killing low lvl named, and guess what I'm still 95aa... I have Gfay left...Mmmm sounds like fun. When a game comes to the point of cringing before you log on cause the content is lacking, its very frustrating. I dont want to reach 100aa's by doing grey friggen quests, I want to aquire the aa's by doing content that challenges me...not kill 10 bears and return for 5% aa.... It really bothers me that alot of you are so blind.3 wordsPoorly thought out

Size / content, whatever. Look harder and you'd see where most of your precious "new features" came from in the first place. But my point was not that I feel ripped off, personally, but to say that eq2 is the only game that's had expansions is bull[I cannot control my vocabulary]. It's just the only game that we had to PAY for it.

![]() Actually in beta it was stated that they were willingly rushing out an unfinished expansion because they paid for shelf space already and that they would actually finish it months after we all paid for the [I cannot control my vocabulary] thing.Although it's not really surprising, it took almost a year for them to add the hat graphics that we all paid for with KoS last year. ![]() I was capped when EoF came out. I am now at 95 AA's; without mentoring for a single turn in, without completing all the quests (still have all the 65+ HQ's to finish), without completing all the collections. I hate to say it, but go play something else, people like you bring nothing but negativity to an otherwise fun game.3 wordsVery well planned |

![]() You must be playing a different game than the rest of us where were AA / level capped when EOF came out. Or you're not telling the whole story. I wanted to be the first to 100 so I pushed extremely hard to get there, but I had to start backtracking through KoS content that I'd skipped, including getting AA from most of the named in the KoS raid zones, to finally hit 100 after completing every blue and green quest I could find in Lfay, Loping Plains, Mistmoore Catacombs, Castle Mistmoore, Kaladim, completing EVERY SINGLE collection in EoF including the Experts, and a whole lot of unfinished collections that I was saving I also had to turn in. I basically finished 30 collections that were level 50+ that did not even come with EoF and spent a lot of plat doing so. I farmed Kaladim to get AA from the named mobs, killed every named in Loping plains, did Achadechism and Valdoon's, killed most of the named in the Castle and Catacombs at least once. After all of that, I was still scraping for EXP and I started hunting down high 50s gray quests to complete and it took me about week to finally get my last 6 or so AAs.The only things I didn't do were the HQs (which require a crapton of crafted materials that were ridiculously expensive at the time) and Signature quest that requires the ring event upstairs in the castle which to this day is still impossible on my server without a 3 group raid because of the lag. And of course I didn't grind mobs because I wanted to do it the real way, by actually "achieving" something by doing quests and such. So I really don't understand where all of my exp went if we're in fact playing the same game. |

Nope, I did pretty much exactly what I said. The only thing I left our that required mentoring was when we wiped all the T5 statics for the status. Some of them gave decent AA, but nothing obscene. As a matter of fact, if you review my posts, somewhere shortly after EOF launched I made a post suggesting that AAs were to easy to gain.If you don't raid, I suppose that would be one advantage I have in earning AA's.

Eq2's 3rd expansion £17.99WoW's 1st expansion £34.99Although i hear WoW's is very good the price i know has put alot of players i know off especially considering it took them so long to release it.Eq2 as with any game cannot accomodate the 18 hour a day push to be the best crowd because no game can support that rate of progression. Unless players enjoy mentoring and completing things to the fullest, helping others and enjoying all aspects of the game they will always run out of things to do im at 92 AA's and still going strong and i was capped at EoF launch.

Oh, my. It's not everyday one gets to see a faerie go rabid. But [Removed for Content] or not, my point is still valid. Significant content has been added to other games at no charge... just because something is not shelved and sold as an expansion doesn't mean it isn't, but keep on believing that if it makes you feel better about your investment. Complaining that WoW has finally given you something to pay for just furthers my point, SOE has convinced you that content isn't content if it doesn't have a pricetag. And nevermind that while Bliz hasn't been pushing out "expansions" they've been doing what EQ players have been begging for for years, and focused more on improving and adding to their existing game. Despite that, they have still added plenty of new dungeons through all level ranges, raid zones, bettlegrounds, quests, abilities and features without copy + pasting a single zone to do it.Anyway, where the hell did you get EOF for 18 bucks? Even with station access mine still would have cost me just over 30... except I had an account error, had to split my EQ2 account off my station account and pay full price (39.99). Otherwise I would have had to wait god only knows how long for them to figure out what the problem was, and would have missed out on a lot of raiding with my guild which is the main reason I still play. And yeah I'm bitter.

You are not really capped out before EOF. People who capped out would have LOT of quests DONE.. I see that your quests are in 700's now. I would assume that you had maybe less than 500 quests before EOF coming out. I have 900 quests approx before EOF coming out that sure gave me pretty hard time to earn more AAs. Bottom line.. Lvl 70 players with few quests/collection/HQs will have huge advantage in earning AAs than ones who done them beforehand. The EOF changes made me wish that I didn't do lot of collection/quests/etc before EOF. It's not right for SOE to penalize players who done lot before EOF other than just grinding. Players who grinded to 70 without doing quests, etc are largely rewarded now over players who covered every facets of the game that had to offer and they get severly penalized for it. Players done lot of T3 quests covering Nek, TS, etc and had to earn very small AA% per quest. Now, those players who didn't do Nek/TS at all will enjoy huge benefit out of them. ![]() Actually I was capped at 70 with 50 AAs. The amount of quests has nothing to do with it, as I'm not a quest [Removed for Content] and don't do a ton of them. As a matter of fact, I probably had 600 quests done when EOF released. I have not completed any non-eof content since it released (with the exception of a few collections I finally got the remaining pieces for). I have not done a single quest in EOF from a zone other than Loping Plains, with the exception of 2 SQ's and 1 HQ. I'm the kind of player who does what's level appropriate for me, once a quest in my journal turns gray, I delete it. I actually had "Into the Shattered Vale", a level 13 quest in my journal well over a year because I couldn't delete it, even though t took me like 5 mins to complete once I finally did. Basically I enjoy doing things when I'm supposed to so they are a challenge, after that I lose interest.I don't know why my experiences getting AA has been so much easier than it was for you. But I can tell you every conclusion you've made about my play style is incorrect. What it boils down to is, I was at the same cap as you when EOF released and have done nothing more than you have. |
