OK so the guild I am in is trying to finish prismatic 2 and we need to farm the eyes to gain access. We have three eyes so far, the one of spiregaze and the ones from the ring event mummies either side of spiregaze.

We have been trying to get General Feyt to spawn for us, but after 2 days nothing. Now I just need to know if this is actually working or if it's broken or we are just not killing the correct mobs. I cannot possibly ask people to come help for this anymore as quite frankly its gone beyond not being fun and is now getting to the stage where people are questioning why they even bother doing this.

Personally for the life of me I cannot understand the design logic behind this but again i'm sure whichever developer who thought this up had the best intentions but in terms of fun it's a game killer for me atm.

Here's what we are doing.

There are 4 sets of gnolls with skeleton adds on each side (red lines), east and west. Two sets per side are heroic, the other two are epics. We have been clearing all the gnolls on one side and then seeing if anything spawns.

Once when we cleared one side we took a trip over to the other side and saw 'Captain Feyt' but he didnt drop the eye. Do we have to clear both sides at once? Do we just need to clear the epic versions of the gnolls to get General Feyt to spawn? Do we have to kill the epics on both sides to get him to spawn? Is this actually working?

Basically i'm in vent talking to around eight very annoyed guildies, they have spent hours upon hours farming this zone and it's getting to the point where we are all thinking the same, [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] this [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] lets just leave. Like I said i'm sure whoever designed this had their reasons but I refuse to believe that they themselves have spent the kind of hours the people who play this game have trying to farm eyes.

Am I asking for this to be changed, no, because I know it's not going to happen. Should it be changed, yes in my opinion. Either way can someone who has done this help me out with the spawns here please, thanks.

You are like a year late on your complaint. It has been this way since DoF came out.

I'm almost positive General Feyt is from the x4 spawn.  But you shouldn't have to do anything special to spawn him, it's just random, like the rest of the spawns in SC.

Have fun killing, and keep a killing.  When ya get done killing, keepa killing.  It was the ulta C-Block for doing anything productive courtesy of SoE in DoF.

Btw, Gloi says hello to the one who designed that crap.

We actually got the Eye from Feyt a couple days ago for another run comming up.  On the map you posted he was on the top ledge on the far west side.  Directly accross from the zone in.  Over the last year or so I've killed him 3-4 times and he's always been up there, not saying he can't pop on the other side, but thats where I've killed him.  The X2's were PH's.  This was last weekend.

The General is in the x4 area - killing the x2 is just burning time.  How long are you farming per attempt?  My advice is, rather than go for an hour or 2 each night, pick a day where you can go for 3 or 4.   We almost always got him to pop on the third respawn of his placeholders, so if you're only killing them once or twice then bailing, it's really not worth your effort.  Best strategy for fast eye farming for us was to enter, clear up along the ledge to the x4 general placeholders, drop down, clear the ring at the door to the Fountain, drop down, climb up the walls, and clear the top of the fountain, drop down the other side, then clear the X4 gnolls on the other side.  Rinse and repeat for 4 hours and you should have spawned every ring event at least 3 times, maximizing your chances at getting all the x4 eyes in one trip. In addition, considering doing shifts... you can kill the General and his placeholders with 12 people at level 60, so if you're higher than that, it should be even easier.  Send 12 folk down and just kill the general's placeholders for a few hours, then switch it out for another 12 people.

Grrr so many people saying different things regarding the locations and which PH's we need to kill.OK I thought all the named we needed spawned near the monoliths which were scattered around the zone. The thread below even shows a group killing the general and gives the precise coords of where they were:http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=combat&message.id=82351&query.id=4460#M82351That location puts him on the top west side of the map, where the x2 epic gnolls spawn with the skeleton adds. We have been killing these guys.Does anyone know a website that shows exactly where these damm things spawn and what the PH's are. I have checked both ogaming and eq2i.com and that information doesnt seem to tally with what we have experienced and what we have been told.We generally have been spending around 5hrs at a time down there.

Every encounter in there is part of one ring event or another or is a ph for a named.

When someone says its the x4 gnolls -- they really mean its the x2 gnolls.  Those people just haven't been there since they redid all the labeling of mobs.

It used to be that all the stuff on the north side were x4 encounters and all the stuff on the south side were x2 encounters.  Now all the stuff on the north side is labelled as x2 and all the stuff on the south side is labelled heroic.

So basically its the 4 sets of gnolls that are the hardest ones.  Any one of those can spawn the general.  Just like a normal named / ph combination anywhere else in the game.

All of the other named for eyes are spawned from ring events, minus the bird on top of the large tower.  The 3 areas of mummies, the giant golems at the very top, and the spectre on the level right below the golems.  For the mummies, the ones on the south side (either set of those 2 areas) can spawn 1 of 4 named.  All 4 have a different eye.  So you'll have to kill those alot to get all 4 different named to spawn.

I love eye farming.  I hope we have to farm sprockets or something in the clockwork raid zone!

This thread was pointless from the first post. There was a 20page thread made on the very issues 10 months ago. Whats worse is that thread was bumped 2 months ago so its not like its buried. The issue is a dead one. Its over, its done with. Move on.

Why not just ignore it then...go read a book or do something else.

It's a valid thread, if you don't think it warrants your attention ignore it. However, I don't feel your arrogance warrants the ability to trivialize a valid request for information or should we ask your permission before posting anything ?

Oh and BTW...10 months is a lifetime in this game with the frequesnt changes we have seen to mobs and quests.

Go blow hard somewhere else...

It was answered in the first 2 replies to this thread. It has been answered in many other threads. It has not changed. The issue was cleared up and the answer has been stated several times if the OP would use the search function.Feel free to ignore me though if thats your thing. You seem to only be concerned with old issues that have already had answers so I doubt you will miss much from ignoring me.

That's why we didn't get one, ya jerk.  To the OP, I already linked you the thread where Blackguard said they weren't going to change how FoL works, as it was a new system of lockout they were testing.  If they wouldn't change it back then, why would they take the time to change it now?  Especially when in a couple months, EoF will be out, and Godking will be even more buried in the past.  We know farming eyes sucks, we were one of the first people doing it.  We made similar posts about it, we were told that's how it's supposed to be: tedious.

Actually, that was another thread I linked it in, with the same premise.  Here you go.
