Hey all, Just wanted to put my opinion here about a zones loot being very poor. Went with a group to draftling tower in rivervale, some mentored so we could all play together. Yes we clicked the objects and got the silvers rewards when the tasks were complete. We progressed through the zone killing everything as time went on.

Got a lot of those wings, and a grand total of 3 chests dropped, wood with recipe books. Not even enough for each group member to have one.

We didn't kill the queen, something went wrong turning off the jumjum flow..could be broken or as noone went to a spoiler site..we could have missed something.

That loot was horrid for the ammount of killing of triple arrow up heroics, the new crazy aggro....

Dunno, soe is welcome to check my accounts logs and see what the loot was like...just my opinion and thats why I put it here on soes messageboard. Loots bad, bad nothing in a zone full of heroics SMILEY

Know that soe doesn't want soloers to get any loot...what about groups? groups want loot !! SMILEY

not like I ever have a reason to ever go anywhere near that zone ever again thankfully, but that zone does suck so incredibly bad, I dont know anyone who would wanna go there, i rather put a handfull of red ants in my mouth and leave them there for an hour than do that zone again.

on beta, drafling tower was necessary to get to everfrost.  The defroster thing used to be in the queen's room.  However now its just a useless zone with the exception of doing the heirophants crooks heritage.

Draflings and Rivervale both need to be revamped RE style, they are both great zones but go unused because of the mediocre (at best) loot.

oh, lol!! you're post about "rather put a handfull of red ants in my mouth and leave them there for an hour than do that zone again." made me smile SMILEY I'd rather step in a Texas fire ant mound than do that no loot boring zone again:smileyvery-happy:

Kind off makes me sad too because this eq2 game doesn't have replayability. What I mean about replayability is, the desire to create alts to experience zones one has leveled through.

I remember in eq1 starting a new alt and going back to fun, good loot zones like Mistmoore and Splitpaw.

In EQ2 there is no desire to make a alt, why go through the no loot, druge zones. Why doesn't eq2 have the replayability? oh well that would be another topic. I just wanted to report that no loot crummy zone. In hopes that some developer would make the zone niceSMILEY

It is a fantastic looking zone too. But the ridiculousness with the rarity of the Queen and the loot that has since been far outclassed by RE and whatnot, well...

I say, let it be the next one on the list of zone revamps!

Sunlei,I think you are extremely alone in your conviction. Most people I know have multiple alts, and while doing some quest series 5-6 times can get boring, Ive found that I enjoy content on many characters at least several times. And there are tons of quests that I have missed.

I <3 Drafling Tower, and think it is an exceptionally cool zone.

But you are correct, the loot does suck, which provides little reason to exp there for level appropriate players.

This zone should be a top candidate for revamp, IMO.

I think Drafling would be my top choice for a complete overhaul.  Make it a true instance good for both XP and loot.  Add more quests involving the zone with decent rewards.  Give us a reason to go there!  There is a lot of things the devs can do with this zone.  It is one of the few zones where the textures have not been reused else where in the game.  That is part of the reason why its so unique.

I agree this zone is pretty sweet but unfortunatly being a cool looking zone isnt enough to get people to get when the loot is non existant =/.

I think they have done a brilliant job making eq 2 replayable, revamp of all the lower zones, two parrallel dungoens for most level zones, so plenty to explore. Even just doing the hqs non stop you will miss zones. good risk v reward on most the lower zones.  Most the dungoens zones i have non on my newest alt have been [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] good, all the dunegones including CT and below now have some very nice items. Not sure where you have been looking. can't be arsed to list them or go into more detail other than to say i disagree and think the zones are better than ever.

And yes this zone has huge potential but sucks red ant balls.

/agree

Only time I have been in there is for the HQ, but it is a cool looking zone.

Would be a cool zone between runnyeye and Cazic Thule there is kind of a few level dead zone between those, RE is a bit too low, and CT is a bit too high, this would make a nice zone inbetween.

i too feel it is underdeveloped zone, incomplete.

mangler is epic mob and it isnt right for "raid to get one chest loot" for 12 member raid, only one can complete, what about the rest of the group wanting this quests, some folks dont want to repeat to kill mangler.

it is sad this content just wasted for 1 person to get necklace quest with 12 guys to help.

cork should be removed from chest drops and move to corpse loots which it give everyone a chance to move on with quests or to experienced to see rare sight of Queen Bee.

rivervale itself isnt too bad but sadly it was geared for heroic groupings.

now they removed book quests that need specific mobs, kill 10 of this or that mobs, it isnt easy since all most mobs are heroics, 96% heroic mobs 4% solo mobs.

the loots is crappy and junk, it was only base on old-school book quests that was retired from loot drops, and the zone still hadnt been revised, but keep those HQ and some nightblood langauge primer. why it just revolve around base on Mangler? for just Star Necklace? it is wasted and Mangler in my opinion shouldnt be an epic mob, not many people are there and not enough to find help because everyone is busy with DoF, KoS, FD, SP, or spend time harvest to make "plats".

i never got this chance since it is already greyed to kill Mangler, my dreams shattered and never see it again, but please dont make this same mistake that SOE did away with stone in Feerrott and move to chest drops and mobs are already greyed and never get the quest starter due to plat farmer camping and knew when it is due for respawns, i am get to the point i lost the faith with Blackguard and his shortsighted dev teams, making one mistakes to another mistakes. thier concepts doesnt fit and dont make senses. Blackguard and his teams are playing with favorism. they need new fun guy to make this game more enjoyable but not paying to play second job game.

Blackguard broke his promises he made at Fan Faire.

anyway, Rivervale was base on Book quests and Star Necklace, that was it. the rest are just fillings and time sinks for NB L&L and serrated dirk HQ. Draftling Tower is sadly underused.

Nice thing about the zone (I have said this before a few times in other posts) is this zone has no lock out.You can grab an illus or swash, group invis to the first room with the named that is non aggro that spawns after you kill the group of bees, evac, leave the zone, come back in, invis to the named, kill it, repeat.I was in a group that got a 48 or so conj master from this named a long time ago.I have never seen the Queen available to kill. You have to have corks for all the pipes for her to attack, and she has to not be in larvae form.
