What levels have people managed to solo this guy? I just tried three times with my 47 Fury but he destroyed me totally. Never had a chance. Came close to killing one of his ^ freinds but thats it. My 56 Mystic had a tough time. He even managed to dent my 68 Ranger

6 or 8 months ago EQ2 was a totally different game :smileyvery-happy:. There's only 6 people in our guild and usually I'm the only one on so finding a group can be a chore and finding a group for nek castle is twice the chore lol.

![]() Simple done @ lvl 43 w/ Conj Simply run in, let him start his moan session while you run back into hallway. Keep him targetted at all times. The second he becomes aggro, whack AoE Stun, then Chain spell on him - then high tail it back into smaller room keeping Everling JUST out of spell range yet within line of sight. Now, demolish the nooby adds, while momentarily flicking back to chain him. (at this moment and on the last add, turn defend self and me for pet) Once adds done, recompose, heal pet, use mana shard. Cast Stun on everling and flick off dumbfire pets, send in your pet, run in the middle, cast stoneskin & Vehement Stone, save stuns for last. Easy done |

Well since I dont have a stun or a root as a fury or a tank pet I dont think I can solo him...not for 5 or more levels anyway.

I soloed him as a Fury at L45. I probably could have done it before then, it was an easy fight (though somewhat long).

How the hell did you solo him at that level?! He totally destroyed me in full legendary leather and legendary weapon! Half hits in one spell...run out of power halfway through battle..there was no way to beat him solo. Finally duoed him with a 46 Monk.

![]() I was able to solo him (barely) with my 48 assassin. I was at about 15% when he dropped and then after clearing up his adds I was down to about 5%. He was still green to me at 46 and handed it to me very quickly.

Pet casters and plate tanks (namely zerkers and sk's, since they have some damage capability mixed in) can generally do it in their low 40s.

I've always managed to kill any gray level content (that would be 11 levels below me)...12 allows for more breathing room ... 11 can be very close and requires good tactics with some named...as a tank (paladin)or as a healer (templar)both plate wearers so maybe that's why... /shrugI would just auto-attack the whole way and heal as needed for the most part. and yeah.. it could take 15-20minutes to take a named down .... l

![]() If I recall correctly, he has a power drain spell that he likes to use. This may be why you are running out of power so fast. I soloed him with my monk around lvl 45 iirc. But it took my warlock until lvl 50 to be able to do it, because of the power drain issue (and the fact he has low mit. and hps). If you can't stun/stifle him much and depend heavily on power to win the fight and take a long time to kill him (basically if you are a priest class Mulgrew

Twas easy. Popped a +int/wis potion. Equipped the screaming mace for its power proc. Killed off his two helpers fast with AE (I think one was a warlock and the other some type of really crappy healer). Cured his DoTs and swarm pet, used manastone everytime it was up. Popped my master II HoT on when he got me to 50%. Was not a hard fight. He didnt drain my power at all. |

![]() I soled him with a 43 fury no problem. Dont use your major nukes they take to much power. Use your 2 dots and spirit of the bat if you can get it so u will have unlimited dot nukage and will be able to keep urself healed

![]() I got to 50% health with the very first hit. By the time I had got the heal off through the interrupts I was backpedalling. Spells get interrupted so often I can barely cast any of them at all. I'm in full legendary leather with legendary wand or rather mastercrafted. However it was still legendary before the wholesale nerf to crafted items. It was easy as a duo though. Healers get way too many interrupts to be viable as a solo class now. |

![]() I was able to solo him at 43, then 44, then 45.. but havent been back since i greyed him. I am sword spec'ed at 10 aa's at the time. I just outlasted him, use your dots with HO's and crank your mana stone as someone else has said. Are you using a shield, and what is your avoidance? I've leaned towards tanklike stats on my fury. Shes got all stats at or above 200, with 250 int. (with buffs on of course) I didnt use anything except starfire for the adds, 3 shots and they were gone. Gear was pre nerfed lvl 40 legendary leather, pristine imbued ebon scimitar, and vrux round shield (i think) Jewelry was standard crap. Most spells adept 3.
Guild says I'm a solo machine though.. so who knows. |

![]() am two boxing my way into the castle with a mentored down conj and an illy lv 39, so far the sister with a teach and a maid is kicking my [Removed for Content] (3 seperate groups which i struggle to pull seperately )but so far so good, i will see what i can do to him when i get there, chain stunning is good. At 38 i two boxed the 40 named heroic for foornbys didn't even land a hit on my pet. Varsoon was the worst for me back when he was immune to magic and fire, i had only 1 spell i could hit him with as as soloing conj. Two boxed him at 38 with the above duo and whooped him silly.

If they are all casters, have you got decent resists? If not, thats more than likely why you take so much damage. Get some of that funky new crafted jewelery with the resist bonuses and you should fair a lot better.
