![]() We'd like to get as much feedback as possible on the broker system and as such we know you're worried about the possibility of money being wiped out once the Fallen Dynasty AP is over and we remove those characters who were buffed. Need not worry about this, as we will not be wiping out the money or items that have been traded through the broker system, we'll only be deleting the actual characters who used the beta buffer to attain the high level character that they have on the Test Server. Thanks!

I've tested it out a little, but am kindof at an impass until other elements of the system are added, (i.e. the new armor racks, etc)These are going to be implemented for this Update, correct?

![]() what about betabuffed chars that got 50g and transfered it to another regular toon? does this mean they're getting free money?

The characters themselves will be deleted. Not the cash they use or the items they harvest/loot.Ok. I will set my broker self up again later today.~Eva

![]() This is good to know, Raijinn, thanks. I've been testing it out anyway, figuring I'd take one for the team, you know, if I lost money. It's good to know I don't have to worry about that. I've been selling food items from my provisioner, and so far the stacking has been working just fine. It would be really nice to have some more slots, though. Can we expect anything like that soon? The only thing I've noticed so far is that you can't search by Store Owner. This is probably something that you just haven't implemented yet, but I thought I would bring it up just in case. I /bugged it in game since I wasn't sure. I'll try throwing some more random things up there to see if I can break it! >=]

My husband, Cimee, and I did a bit of testing on the broker system using iron rations. We found some really really weird stuff with the stacking and slot usage on the vendor side and ability to buy in differing quantities on the buyer side. But, the numbers were all over the place and I soon got confused. I'll let Cimee tell it in better detail what he found with this experimenting when he gets home tonight.

![]() Has there recently been an update to the broker? As in the last day or so? I spent a good deal of time with Venos yesterday early evening talking about the broker and the numbers dealing with the capacity issues. He wrote it all down to pass off to a coder, so if there have not been any updates to them, don't think there will be much more for me to find out. But I will give it a stress test anyway tonight and post my findings. Oh, and has anyone there on the coder side noticed or been told that both freeport and qeynos brokers are selling the same things? |

Will pt stuff on the Broker as soon as i can Tomorrow evening. But has anyone figured out how to add additional boxes to put things in? I've got a lot more than 12 things to sell and have yet to figure out how to add additional boxes for more inventory? Is there a special box we buy from the Merchants of can we use bank boxes?

![]() Quite honestly, why should we care about that? What happens to a player who makes a betabuffed character and uses it to twink a non-betabuff alt on Test ? He ends up with an alt on Test with plenty of money and/or good twink gear. And then what? He still has to log onto Test and play that character. At that point the character either becomes a regular Test player and will develop a reputation based on how it is played and how the player playing it communicates with the the rest of the community. He either fits in, in which case who cares how he gave himself a leg up at the beginning? or he doesn't fit in, in which case he's just another name on ignore. Most likely of all, having spent a few days running his betabuff-twinking operation and then playing his twink, he gets homesick for his real server, goes back there and his twink is never seen again. Test doesn't really have an economy that can be disrupted by a huge influx of plat, anyway. It's hard to ruin a market that runs on the basis of : /testl "Anyone need this Master Spell I just got" "Sure, I could use it" "Sweet, its in the mail to you now" "Thanks - sending you 50c for postage" |

While our broker items may be far less liquid than live, we certainly do have an economy, and it certainly will be thrown off by a massive influx of plat from external sources. I buy adepts/collectibles/other items for alts and occasionally even Pond all the time. The influx of plat will cause inflation (As has been well proven by history any time a money supply was artificially augmented - ie. a government printing more money to pay its bills) and will decrease the buying power of anyone who did not take advantage of this loophole to stash huge amounts of cash away. There are plenty of reasons to be concerned about the cash not being deleted. While much of Test does work in the manner you described, not all of it does - and the ones who will suffer most are the new players who have not established themselves yet within the Test community. The economy Test has is subject to supply and demand just like any other economy. Just because we do more trading through other channels doesn't mean that increasing the money supply substantially isn't going to cause inflation and hardship for those without access to money (new players, who I'd really rather not give up on the server in frustration)

![]() Currently the brokers are completly down. No items are listed when you click teh Find Item button. When i open the brokers I get a list in my chat window of everything i have sold and to whom since the begining of the new broker system. The list never clears out. After a couple months i'm going to get a mile long list everytime i open the broker. That list that appears in teh chat window should only list the things ppl bought since the last time they checked the broker. If that is not possible then no list in the chat window at all. We currently can't add more boxes to the squares at the top of the Sell Tab on the broker page. I am assuming the squares are for adding boxes for more space. I would like to be able to sell more than 12 things at once. You can add a stack of TS items and it will count as one, but if I add a stack of collection items it counts them seperatly. For example if I have two Shining Green Locusts it takes up two slots on the broker, but the items are stacked and only take one slot in a box. Not sure if that matters just wanted to point it out.

I use the broker all the time. I don't, myself, take free items, other than at the monthly Meet and Greet sessions, for the simple reason that the fun of the game for me is in acquiring the gear, not in using it, so being given it sort of defeats the object. The way the Test economy works is one of the prime reasons I play on Test - I like having to check the broker at least twice a day in case something I need finally appeared. One of the big turn-offs on Live nowadays is that just about anything you could possibly need is on the broker al the time. There are literally thousands of pages of items and it takes a lot of the fun out of shopping . The Live Brokers are like a huge Mall, while the Test broker is like a yard sale, which makes one interesting and the other dull. I wasn't in the least being trying to be critical of how Test's economy works - I like it the way it is. I was trying to say that, in my opinion, the recent influx of gold wil lhave no long term effect on that. At the moment though, as it happens, the brokers aren't working at all, so its a bit of a moot point.

When I was testing this with the stacks, I noticed that the broker would take a stack of 10 and place it on TOP of a stack of 20 making a stack of 30 arrows. Now even though it was still only taking up 2 slots of capacity, you saw it as a stack of 30. When Tor went to buy from those stacks of 30, she could only buy 1 at a time under the quantity option. either with the buy 1 button or with the quantity slider. It would only give her the option of 1 item at a time untill she got the stack down to like 24, then it would allow her to buy a stack of 20, leaving 4 on the broker that could then be bought however you liked. Some really strange things going on with these brokers atm and I hope this latest fix for them does just that. Fixes them.

We have to realize that the way brokers work is being completely redone behind the scenes, and there will be some big glitches. Just keep on listing the items, and they'll get the bugs worked out.Figuring out how to link these items and what flags they need is most assuredly a complicated mess right now, but it will emerge ok in the end

![]() At the moment I can't see any items on the broker at all. I can see the broker screen and use al the controls and buttons. I can see stuff I have for sale on the "Sell" tab. I can't, however, see anything that anyone has offered for sale on the "Buy" tab. I thought this was a general problem, but I hear that other people can see stuff on "Sell". I am getting the same non-appearance of stuff for sale on characters which have sold on the broker and on ones that have never sold anything. This is on Freeport broker. Going to have a look now at Qeynos broker and both fences to see if its any different. |

My feedback....its REALLY messed up. Details... (some of this has likely beed repeated above...I haven't had a chance to read everything yet) At first, characters were unable to log in. No one seems to be able to figure out how to use it (based on numerous questions in chat). No one knows how to get additional boxes (which seem to not have even been implemented yet) Currently, ZERO items show up on the broker. When it DID work, there were very odd behavior oh wheather a name showed up or not next to the items. Items dont seem to stack the way they are intended.

did a bit of testing until ... well, I'll tell you later or you'll probably can't stop laughing :smileyhappy:stacking of items don't seem to work very well. adding a stack counts as 1. splitting it and adding the first half and then the second half counts as 2. trying to put the second half on the first half results in partial stacks can't be placed on broker.adding and removing the same item several times results in a huge list of "empty" items (0 count). the real item is at the bottom of the list.not a bug but want to add it nevertheless. when setting the price of an item it first defaults to the vendor price. very nice feature, I love it.and last but not least: I found this wonderful dismiss button when right clicking the box. first the good news: dismissing the broker works :smileyvery-happy: the bad news: can't sell anymore as I have 0 slots. :smileysad: You might want to consider to disable the button if only 1 box is available

Okay, I grabbed the sandalwood boxes out of my house vault and went down to the broker on June 8th, 11 pm EST, after the most recent patch. The box thing is a lot more intuitive now, and I definitely like how the boxes and the drag 'n' drop area work. Good stuff there.Took me a second to realize I needed 'advanced search' to actually use the broker, but it's working beautifully. More good stuff there.Pleeeeeeeeeeeease can we have a 'collectibles' search on the broker? That would give you all the ? and ! items that are for sale? Pretty please? That would be more good stuff. The sales log is good, I sold 2 items for 1g each to Zaan. And it showed, and the gold was there in the box and I took it and went on my merry way -- working there.I like how it defaults to the vendor buyback when you're selling. That will be teriffic for selling crafted items especially, when I want to sell it for vendor price or 2x vendor price -- no more looooooooooooong lists of all the types of food and drink I'm carrying from my prov lying around my desk! Now, the not so good:Stacking is still off. I had 10 items/stacks of items in the default vendor. I pulled them out and put them in my bag. Then I added them to one of my sandalwood boxes. These were all collectible items, and the sandalwood box had about a dozen collectivles/stacks of collectibles in it also. Some of them I saw stack -- something went from 2 items to 3 items when I added another -- but some of them didn't. I had two separate Planar Orbs of Fire, for example. (That's the only one I can remember, but it happened with at least 3 or 4 different items.) And they needed the prices set differently and all.The Red in the Yes/No column is a great visual idea but it seems completely buggy. I had one whole column (Sandalwood Box A, Collectibles) just stay red, whether an item was for sale or not. I had another whole column (Sandalwood Box B, Adepts and Advanced Carfting Books) stay white, whether an item was for sale or not. That doesn't seem right. And that's all I can remember form last night, whee!

I have crashed to desktop twice using the broker. Both times I was placing items for into a bag. The pristine Horned leather bag, one item was a ! page and the other was yellow sand....boy was I relieved to see I still had the yellow sand after.~Eva
