We've been asking for a month. Could we please have the new recipes for the spells introduced in the combat revamp? I went to upgrade Necromantic Symbol today. It does not exist. Same with several conjuror spells I tried to upgrade a couple days ago.

You introduce a new combat system in which spell upgrades matter more than ever before. You increase the rate of rares so people will have mainly adepts. Then you fail to give us the recipes. Come on...seriously, that is just sloppy.

Since you asked so eloquently I’m sure they will be jumping right on that. If it were me and I finished the new spell recipes, I’d have you wait another week just out of spite. It's a good thing I don’t work for Sony and a good thing I changed careers. "No pain medication for you until you say your sorry mister!"

Dear chap, we have been asking nicely for a month. I have sent two very pleasant, smiley, happy pms to Blackguard about it, and followed the instructions in his reply to the letter. Kuu has posted nicely, I have posted nicely. The crafting forums are bulging with pleas (not rants) to fix this. Do you want me to suck [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] to get this fixed?

As of today's date we have not received one single acknowledgement that there is even a problem. Not privately, not publicly.

And meanwhile we are asked to accept the combat revamp, relearn, adapt, and even "tell a friend" how good it is.

Finish the job then I'll tell a friend. Until then I'll continue to assert that it is sloppy to release a COMBAT revamp in which half the COMBAT spells are missing.

But thanks for the flame. :smileyvery-happy:

Not to mention that on those rare occasions you actually get a post lvl 50 crafter book with spells or arts in them, you only get ONE...that is going to take ALOT of searching to get any sort of compiled list of crafting abilities for upgrades.

Lets see...thats how many classes total x 1 spell per book = a really BIG library of scribed crafting books for sages and such.

Cimee, Ewww, you mean the crafting books being found only hold one recipe and not a list of many like the old books? If I understand that right, that is annoying.

A lot of the other crafts rarely get more than three recipes in a book anyway.  Most of my tailoring books (the ones I've scribed and the ones I've not yet leveled to) have 2-4 recipes each.  Armoring is notorious for having one-recipe books.  That's one reason a sage/jeweler/provisioner/anything has been easier to level. That said, though, one recipe per 50+ book for the scholar-types is surprising.

As fas as I can tell with all 50+ adept III recipes, dropped contain a single recipe.  There are no 50-59 Advanced books in DoF, just single recipe scrolls.  I believe advanced can be purchased, but only by the actual tradeskiller that can scribe them as they are no drop.  This will make adept III's very rare indeed as many crafters are below the 45+ adventure level to do the necessary faction for access to advanced recipes.

Is there a current quest for artiseans to gain access to a court or to DoF advanced recipes?

Not that I've seen...so, since I am a Alchemist and a Sage...I need to go hunt and find how many adept III scrolls? Lessee...Wizard, Warlock, Conjurer, Necromancer, Illusionist, Coercer, Templar, Inquisitor, Defiler, Warden, Fury, Mystic, Guardian, Berserker, Paladin, Shadowknight, Monk, Bruiser...multiply each by the number of skills/spells they get from 51 to 60 and then add them all together....that comes to a CRAPLOAD of friggen scroll drops that I have to go out and find so that I can make adept III's for people. Because my crafters are not 45+ and will probably never be inside a faction court.

Let down? VERY MUCH SO

We had a JC Advanced 53 book drop last night.  You would have to ask Heiro what was in it.

There are Books that drop, that contain multiple recipes...

And then there are scrolls that drop, that are One Recipe specific...

Not sure if any of those overlap or not ..

Re those added recipes, thought I would mention the following:

"Minions Stance: Provocation" should be in book 25. It is still in book 23 and still called "Provocation".

"Alluvial Brand" should be in book 26 now. It is still in book 29.

Cheers

I'd like to take back my rant. I found a real Advanced Sage book drop with all the 53 mage/priest adepts in it for that level. So, I have no idea what the single recipe scrolls are for. Unless those are supposed to be the new Master recipes, but are still saying Adept in the examine.
