O  KSMILEY

If you lack the skill to craft one, you can buy them already made from the GG goblin in Frostfeel.SMILEY

Everyone who has hailed the crafting trainer to get artisan 2 has the ability to craft one SMILEY But it does take a bit of time to harvest all the appropriate parts (special Frostfell items not regular raws) and getting pristine can be tricky, but its definitely worth either making one or buying a crafted one. The vendor ones look the same, but they don't have the options for having the fire actually work! Its very nice to have the option for a roaring fire, or banked embers, etc. Crafted, and especially pristine, definitely makes a difference.

There are no candles nor decorations on any of the fireplaces unless you have chosen to put them there. The bows and candles etc. do, however, place nicely on them SMILEY.

I guess that one screenshot I saw must have been modified with candles and stuff added to it then.

Apologies if this has been answered already, but are those three crafted only, or can you purchase them from the x-mas vender along w/ all of the food platters?  If you have to craft them, are the harvests only going to be available during frostfell or will you be able to make these down the road?

They are both crafted and vendor bought - although the vendor bought (at this time) doesn't allow you the options for flames, so I'd strongly suggest the crafted versions (which just requires level 2) .. They require harvests, machines, and fuel all in Frostfell - so yes, limited time only.

I want to take my fireplace with me, and set it down before each combat, and cast spells from the top of it.  Is this an option?

Well, at least you have an appropriate forum name for that question.

Are they tradeable? If someone doesn't want to craft them they could always get a crafter to craft them using the new comission system.

Fireplaces and all of the components are tradeable. I had someone make mine for me since my skills are not too great.

Can your sig be bigger please? i can't see it all.SMILEY

I'm keeping mine up all year around. the crackling fire sounds so nice, and it ties in with the way the NPCs' buildings and homes have roaring fires in their heaths. Now all i need is a working keg and stove for the home, and wash tubs, i'm set.SMILEY too bad the resources are not stacking or staying in the shared bank slots. After i gdo the tree quests with the alts, i'll be spending most of the time hunting the components i nned to craft these fireplaces.SMILEY Until this hits live.

That wasn't his sig, that was the fireplace he's referring to in his post :p. His sig is kinda lost down below that... I suspect that a lot of us will suddenly have room for many more items! Which is a good thing, since there's a ton of Frostfell stuff to go in houses...

Am I the only one that wants to mass produce them, create several new characters just for the free inn room storage, then store them all until July onwards to sell at mega inflated bargin prices? :smileyhappy:Either way, I still want to horde loads for any friend of mine that wants one later, hehe.

I've been trying to make one of these but so far haven't found any limestone. I bought one of the prefabs for in the meantime, but I got to thinking about it and I came up with this idea:

If I don't find the limestone which seems to be quite rare, then i'm going to use generic sconces placed into the the wall behind the fireplace to make it look like it's really burning...it worked with the one I originally built trom Freeport counters, so I'm hoping it will work with these.  It all depends on how everything aligns.  I haven't tried it yet becuase my test character is too broke to buy generic sconces at this point.
