![]() I've tried to find this info, but I'm coming up empty. Which rooms are getting increased house vault space, how much of an increase are we going to see? Does anyone have a breakdown of housing type vs. house vault slots?

![]() What I heard was basically that you'll be getting rooms+1 -- so that Inn Room has the same two slots, then a 2-room house has 3, and a 3-room house has 4...I have a 2-room status house in East Freeport that's still showing two slots though, so I'm not entirely sure.

I also wonder about this. I have a two-room house - but it is *not* a status room, it is one you pay for with only money. Will it get an upgraded slot, or do I still get two?Jen

Ok, since some people lack common sense...A 2 room inn is a 2 room inn. Doesn't matter HOW you pay for it.Happy now, nitpicker?

![]() Erm... I did not mean to couse you any harm or to upset you. I just did not understand what you meant. I still do not understand what your point is. How many vault slots are in two rooms. Or in one room, for that matter. I guess you where refering to wether you påaid for it with status or money. But I did not get that. So... how IS the vaults increased in size/slots, grumpyhead? :smileyhappy: /A

![]() Now that is just wrong, the cheaper inn rooms both get an upgrade, but those who decide to go for the most expensive of the three inns only get 2, if any of the 3 upgraded inns shouldn't get the extra slot it should be Iron Toes, as that s the poor mans upgrade. |

Wow, I sure hope that the rent in the "non-bell" towns is more expensive to warrant an extra house vault... Umm, why do I have a 2 room status apt. in QH again? I think I'll be moving back to Starcrest as it's basically pointless to have an "upgraded" apartment with this system...

Is it just me, or does the size of the house vault have almost no corelation to the cost of the house nor the size of the house?

I'm just glad they didn't decide to make the newbie rooms = 1 vault. Though, I would have personally just made a flat rate of increase.

If I had to venture a guess I would say that the reason the SQ and NQ rooms get 3 vault spaces is to make them more attractive to people. The QH Inn Room is more about the convenience of being in a central location than anything else, and that's what you're paying for.

Sorry, we pay twice of SQ 2-room house to there. This is just lame, like price increase does not cover population, now that vault thing.

It wouldn't make it any more popular then before. The other houses are already cheaper, why offer incentive to make me go out of my way just to have a 2-room?It's a total pain to live in NQ or SQ 2-rooms, as they are quite distant from the bells in QH.

![]() Same thing in East FP, but I think it is a very smart move QH and east FP are already the most busy zones in the city, and if those inns also had 3 vaults even more people would move there from the starter villages creating even more lag hell.

![]() Geez, all of houses were same slots, did any people moved from village to there more than possible? They are twice more money and more STATUS POINTS and Twice of money and status point to maintenance! than a same 2ROOM in NEXT ZONE. Isn't that enough to cover it? I moved to there, just because I can pay it. And quite happy also after hearing increased vault change, at least I was thinking I can recover "twice" price of same house in SQ. In other words: I AM ALREADY PAYING DIFFERENCE MONEY & STATUS TO BE CLOSE TO BELLS! WHY MORE PENALTY? Message Edited by selch on 02-01-200604:14 PM

![]() :smileyindifferent: QH inn MUST have 3 spaces in vault. They are the most expensive 2 rooms houses.... Come on, they are called LUXURY Apartments... :smileymad: Luxury apartments should NOT have the same vault spaces as the initial, nearly free, INNs... Reconsider that... |

![]() And I guess it does make sene in a way, but from the point of view of an EFP house owner... it still kinda sucks. :-/ Moving's too much of a pain, though. I'll keep selling stuff in batches, hehe.

I wont be moving for an extra vault slot to SQ/NQ - those zones are hard to get to and laid out illogically. They need to sort out the layout and travel to/from them.I can jump out of the inn in QH and be by the broker in 2 seconds or in TS/SS/NF in 5.Just give the inn in QH 3 slots and sort out the other zones properly instead of crowbarring people into NQ/SQ by some artificial means.

I really don't care for the idea of a different number of bank slots for some type of homes with the same number of rooms. Something a bit more simple like Number of rooms + 1 = number of home vault slots would be easy for all homes. I think lots of people are going to be upset about losing money or status if they have to move to get an increased number of home vault slots. I'm just glad I waited and have not yet purchased my 5 room home. I would be pretty upset if I had enough status and status reducing items to buy a 5-room and get upkeep down to 0 status only to find out for another 4g and 10K status (or whatever the difference in rent is) I could list another box full of items on the broker. |

![]() But don't you see? This won't force us to move, it's just going to anger us. One vault slot isn't worth the hassle and expense of moving, and the ever-after inconvenience of zoning to the bell. |

EFP and QH are too crowded and laggy because of there convenience, especially their access to bells. The higher price and now the reduced vault space are the negative incentive SOE will use to get people to spread out to the other city zones. Why not use a carrot in stead of a stick (i.e. add bells, a bank and/or mender to the other city zones)? Answer: Its more work. They might have to redesign the zone. However, there might be some workarounds that would involve much less design work:
I don't know enough about Freeport to make suggestions there, but I sure a little creativity would go a long way. Carrots are much more effective than sticks when you want people to make a change. For now I will stay in QH even with the limited vault space. At least, until I can afford to share a bigger house with my husband (hurray for vault access for trustees). ![]() If there was a bell in Elddar , I would live there instead of QH as a woodelf. More importantly I would not leave Willow wood if there would be chances to buy 2-rooms there ... Point is I pick QH, just because it is closer to get Willow wood last month, I decorated inside, even total 5 plats in bank as a new player. And so disappointed and lost my cheer to that change, that's what saddens me. Disappointment for a change that actually will change nothing from their point of view, but just saddens players.
