Thought it might be good idea to get a thread going with all the problems we discover with the SOGA Models.UI:-Can't switch between SOGA models and original on creation screen Character Creation UI:General:  -Hair styles in general don't correspond to names  -Hair color can radically change from creation screen to in game (see Vobe 's post here for images  -When setting one time SOGA appearance hair styles on selection screen compared to in game do not match for High Elf female, Wood Elf Male and Half Elf Male   -When using the Set SOGA button clicking on the catagory randomizes the choices under that catagory. Making it impossible to make slight changes.  This is also true for setting the original appearance. High Elf males  -there is no control for upturn or downturning the lips.  So he's got a terminal case of the frownsHalf Elf females  -when you slide the eye tilt towards up.. the bottom eyelashes go into the bottom lids. (see PallatonEQ's post for picture)Halfling Males  -facial controls have small to slight effect on cheeks and lipsHalf-Elf Male  -The chin controls have no effect on the modelBarbarian Males  -The upturned to downturn controls on lips in reality go from frown to severe frown.  They always look distgruntled and [Removed for Content] off.Gnome Males  -Accessories actually change different types of beards not glasses.Equipment problems:Clothes/Armor  -In general, the armor and clothes are too big for the SOGA models.     Worse offenders: Dwarven Female, Barbarian female (See PallatonEQ's post for pictures), High Elf Male, Dark Elf Female   Others with problem: High Elf female, Human Female and Male, Gnome females, Halfling Males, Dark Elf Male  -An exception to the above are Halfling females whose cloths/armor are sometimes too small and other times too big. o.O  -Gnome male ears clip through the hoodArt and Animation:General  - models are not casting shadows  - Dark Elf, Half Elf, and Halfling male models and Ogre female have an issue with outstretched arms when standing still.  The arms are raised from their sides at an unusal 30 degree or so angle instead of being closer to the body as would naturally be. (See AbsentmindedMage post for picture)   - Necks on models look broken particularly the females   - The at rest position of the female models heads is not centered.  Their heads are turned about 10 degress to the left.   - The chin and head of the model actually go into the neck when the modelis looking downa t something. (See Anjuu's post for images) Wood Elf Female    - the shoulders are too small, which in turn make breasts look huge (See Anjuu's post for picture)  - bow leggedHuman Children:  - look very disturbing, like shrunken humans, not children. (see image in post below)Halfling male   - is not holdin fishing pole correctlyDwarf Male   - The drinking animation looks like he is pouring it on top of his headGnome female   - Some SoGA models are sporting the old gnome hair style which just sorta floats over their heads. (see image in post below)Barbarian female   - When running the hair goes into the shirt. And when standing still, the hair still goes into it. This is probably related to problems with clothes/armor being too large. (See PallatonEQ's post for pictures) Ogre female    - During moods the right eye moves but the left eye is always stationary resulting in a lazy eye. Half Elf Female    - Moods create terrible distortions of the face. Quest NPC problems:    - Alexa and the Sisters in Nektulos Castle do not appear if you have SOGA models enabled. This is just a start on the problems I've noticed.  I'm going to update this as I test out the models further and as people post problems they find to this thread.Fixed:-to make female models appear you have to select, delselct and select again in options menu.  (this has to be done everytime you zone and seem to only effect a certain radius around your character)  -NPCs whose hoods are just a wire mesh (image in post below removed)      Vida Sweeps in Nettleville - Human Female      Olak U'Som in Longshadow - Dark Elf male      Jezrina in Stonestair - Erudite female      Oonaloopuu in Stonestair - Erudite male      Lirosi in Stonestair - Kerran male ( I know he's not a soga model but....)      Ziyad in Stonestair - Erudite Male      Groundskeeper Greenlock in Baubbleshire - Halfling male  -female models freeze in place when you stop moving instead of comeing to a resting position.   -when you switch to female model they initially are in a position with their arms bent at a right angle at the elbow.  - when female wood elf draws and sheaths a sword she does the motion then the weapon magically appears or disappears       in her  hand.Half Elf Male   - severe deformity of face in moods (see images in post below)

Edit: Most recent changes are in yellow. Older changes in cream.

About the chin slider not doing anything... I dont think the SOGA models had this option to begin with, they are very limited in what you can change on them. I'm noticing the same thing on other models that I've mesed with.

I took a few screenshots of some of the problems. The character is a newly-made one specifically because I wanted to see the way my toon on live would look, and my regular toon on Test has different hair and facial settings.

Look at the way the skirt poofs out over the teeny tiny legs:

In addition: the shoulders are too small, which in turn make breasts look huge:

I went through all the male models and the chin sliders worked except on the half elf.

Yuck.

Is that a wood elf female?  Looks ike they didnt put much time at all into anything but the face.  The legs are bowed out and pointing in different directions, the shoulders are too small compared to the rest of the body, and whats with the Dolly Parton look?

One reason the model looks like that most likely has to do with the issues listed.

When you enter the game and enable the soga models you are now looking at your character that was modified by the old system.  You cannot change an existing character at this time so you go to make a new one.  The male models work fine... however, almost all the female models cannot be seen once you go back to "creation".

I think there was 4 that could still be viewed.

Even the character you had in game (if female) will not even appear if you log back in.  You have to as noted deselect then reselect that model as soga enabled.  When you go back to creation almost all the females just show a blank space and the camera goes through the floor of the creation area.

So until the model in the pics can be seen and modified to the soga options its not going to look like you'd want it to.    The male models seem to not have this problem and it was about 4 females that are ok maybe less.

Eww..  that toon looks at though she's severely malnourished...  except for the fact that she shouldn't have a set of "Pamela Anderson" breasts if the malnutrition is that severe.

*wishes that SoE would allow players to adjust the size of female characters bustlines like City of Heroes does, so just once I could play a female character that didn't look like she'd had silicone implants*

My problem is that when I click on the options to set to SOGA models, all characters just vanish, including myself.

Part of the problems with the SOGA models is the fact that the breast and leg pieces don't fit.  So the arms and head are the correct size for the model but the legs and chest (including cleevage) is still the same size of the orginal model.  My poor barbarian is an extreme example of this problem.  She goes from being big a burly female to a slight little thing.  So she looks like she is walking around in a breast palte that is  5x too large for her.  Heck, My old barb's breasts are almost the size of the soga model version's head.

Glad I'm not the only one with those issues. Getting the female models to appear is a pain, when you ahve to re-select everything after you zone. I guess that's why it's on Test. SMILEY -Taz

Which race is that. I'm still not to great at recognizing all the male races on sight.  I know the female wood elf and barn moods work ok cause I tried them on my two test characters.

The Braided Hair option on practically all the males is not braided hair.

I noticed on one of the elvaan races that there 2 similar looking braided styles, but both have a different name besides the Braided option.

That is good to hear. =) I've updated the list with the fixes and a few more problems people have told me about. Oops forgot to add the pict here it is: I don't have time to create one of each raqce and gender and try them with the different casting, combat, crafting and harvesting animations.  If those of you playing on test could do a look see and let me know any problems you find?

Graphical Issue * Dark Elf, Half Elf, and Halfling male models have an issue with outstretched arms when standing still.  The arms are raised from their sides at an unusal 30 degree or so angle instead of being closer to the body as would naturally be. Half Elf model but similar with dark elf and halfling
