There are a TON of changes. Some are good, others are very bad.Why the nerf to mounts? in EQ1 the "freebie" (aka AA horse) available to SK's and Pallys were the fastest ingame (boss mob drop horses was argueably a nearly negligiable amount faster).Scouts still get their pathfinding speed.Shaman types still get their SOWWas it really gamebreaking for the crusaders to have horse that is marginably usefull? After this patch, the horse will be a waste of coin to buy and not worth the spellslot on the hotkeys.Guess i'm now espected to pay 9pp and status for a decent horse. That'll never happen, barely have 30g all chars combined.(and no, I did not choose a crusader class as my main 'cause of the horse, I just like the SK class)The changes in tradeskills has some good ideas,.. in theory. However it totally shafts new players and the casual gamer still leveling up their mains. It really benefits those that hit lvl 50 already as they didnt have to do the grind with the increased costs. The increased costs in manufacturing items will raise the selling costs and only the really rich would be able to afford to buy anything player made. As it is, I cannot afford to buy player-made food, its just to dang expensive already. The way I see it, with some of these drastic changes will really [Removed for Content] some people off. Or does the EQ2 Devs hope that EQ2 will be as sucessfull as Horizons? 1 server and 6 paying customers? Take a look at that game. They made a huge change, upsest the players, not the game is basically non-existant.I sure as hell hope i'm upset over nothing. However, after years of playing EQ1 and the boner ideas the Devs had there, and with SWG, I expect to see a population drop across all the servers.Way to go, Give the powergamers and hardcore grinders a pat on the back then bend over everyone else.

Since the original intent was for these horses to have ZERO speed boost, I think reducing them from 32% to 10% is more than reasonable.Considering the number of level 20 somethings I have seen wandering around on horses lately, this can only be a good thing for the future of the crusader branch.

Not all of those I see on horseback are SK's or Pallys tho.maybe different on your server, but I really dont see that many. heck, unless i'm soloing or running across a zone to meet friends, or harvesting I dont even use mine. Too much a pain in the tush.

This board is intended for players on the Test server to provide feedback on new features and content. It is not a general server board, nor is it a place for non-testers to ask general questions or post opinions.

![]() "After this patch, the horse will be a waste of coin to buy and not worth the spellslot on the hotkeys." Kinda like the fluff spell of every single other class? give me a break, the crusader horse is STILL a LOT more useful than other fluff spells.

![]() You know.. I had written out a rather lengthy and sarcastic reply, touching on such topics as elitism, egotism, and a host of other "isms". But then I thought, "He's right, this IS a test server forum", besides.. I like the use of the word "nor" ![]() So here's what I'll do instead. As a player on an actual server... A server that actually has an economy and is not, as I've seen the test server described by testers, "One giant guild who helps everyone out". I'm most concerned with a number of the patch notes. So testers... a humble request from a fellow player: Provided that SOE gives you more than 2 days to test this HUGE, in many ways GAME ALTERING patch, please test it with the idea that this will affect every single person that plays the game. 1) Please keep in mind that interdependency, no matter how borked in it's current form, is the reason that many of the crafters in EQ2 have such a close relationship, instead of the solo crafters in EQ1 that do nothing but sit in front of a forge all day and don't type more than one sentence before they log after a 12 hour grind. 2) Please keep in mind that many of the tradeskill classes are failing, not because they are interdependent, but because the items that drop from mobs and quests are well beyond in stats and damage/delay what they could ever hope to make. 3) Please keep in mind that people enjoy crafting, to a point. Reducing the amount of money crafters have reduces the amount of money they can pay for resources, which reduces the amount of money that an adventurer can earn by selling those resources. Making crafting a money pit is a guaranteed way to drive all but the most hardened crafters away. 4) Please keep in mind people like stability. If the laws of physics changed randomly every 50 years, we'd still be living in caves... or suspended in mid-air depending on what random change had occurred. The same is true with MMOG's. If I choose a class, tradeskill or adventurer and take the time to level it up.. I would like to know that this class will be if not the same, then close to what it was when I leveled it. Content may change, but my character should remain the same. Not swing wildly back and forth between godhood and inferiority. Keep all this in mind when you test. If, while keeping this in the forefront of your thoughts, you don't see a problem with it going live, then by all means post in this forum and let us know that it's going to be okay. Explain why, and how it affects or doesn't affect you (and me) the player. If it does affect you or other players in an adverse way...please... make your opinions known. We've been hit with one nerf after another in the last week. The bulk of these have been coming off the test server after a minimum amount of time. I don't blame you guys for it, the bulk of my ire is pointed at the dev team for not allowing sufficient testing, then saying blatently that it did have sufficient testing and it's working fine, then reversing themselves without as much of a "We were wrong, sorry". This time I decided to come to the test forums themselves instead of making myself hoarse on the forums that Moorgard pays no attention to. (16 page thread with no response). I'm a tradeskiller.. I'm used to getting bent over while they figure out what in the world they should do with us. This is a bit much however. Feedback the crud out of this one, and let us other players know whether or not these changes are good or bad here on the forums. Do that and I'll never post here again. I will be most content to lurk in peace, but please don't let another patch like last week's slip through the cracks and all of us on live wake up to a nightmare. Give us some warning before hand.. or something. And devs... Pay attention to these people. God knows you ignore the rest of us enough. (Sorry, couldn't resist at least one parting shot)

exactly. getting from point a to point b IS all they are good for, above looking cool. You know what the rest of the fluff spells are good for? nothing. nothing at all beyond looking cool, and a lot of them don't even look that great (cough human illusion cough)

![]() Well changing the crafting system so radicaly this late in the game is idiotic at best. All this does is reward the people that powered(or boted) to lvl 50 already. Why not just perform a server wipe and forget about it. At least then I wouldn't think twice about quiting and playing a different game. $50 and $15 bucks a month to beta test a game, I think we've all been taken.

![]() My thoughts too.The wealthiest players just happen to be a specific artisan class. Now they are balancing the tradeskills, which is good, but the negative effect from the previous imbalance is still there. There are many people with lots of plat, they wont be effected at all. All the players still striving to earn their first plat just got a hard kick to the groin.Coinage is going to be more difficult to come by now. Prices of all tradeskill items is gonna go up due to the increased cost to make them. And tailors, armorsmiths, weaponsmiths still wont make any coin due to better quested/dropped items available.

I know us guardians would take your horses if you guys don't want em. Myabe SOE can delete em from your skill set and give them to us, I know I would use it.

![]() He's right. It's frusterating to give feedback when your threads are hijacked with "What about this?" questions. Maybe a Test QA forum. And yes I have a character on test that I play too. |

![]() No problem, I'll gladly trade it to you for your ability to hold aggro, which SOE has deemed to make all but impossible for groups of similar levels. |
