Is there anyway to disable this little option? It's a pain for stealth classes.Lets have a look. This is a small snap shot of the small hot bar, just at different states, i.e. some skills are being refreshed.Hotbar #1 : All skills are ready for use, there are none that are on their refreshed cycles. Why are some gray? Because I'm not stealth (part of the new "why you can't  use this" feature)Hotbar #2 : Still, I'm unstealthed, skills 3, 4, and Z... yes, Z (it's custom, bottom skills, far left) are on their refresh timers. Hard to see the shadow from the recast isn't it?Hotbard #3 : I'm stealthed, all skills are ready to be used (none are refreshing) This is what the hotbar's use to look like before the live update... This is what I miss lol... I didn't need to know why I couldn't use Deathy Blade if I wasn't stealthed because well.... I've played the class for 60 levels rofl, plus, I read the skills SMILEYSo... Anyone got any idea if there's a way to remove this? Any updates incoming with a fix for this? (I say fix because it's breaking me!)

I absolutely hate this, although I've gotten used to the SLIGHT differences in color between skills that are refreshing and skills are ready... although it can really be a pain in the anus when the skills are very close to being usable (and thus the color fill is very small at the top or the icon).  I find myself using MoN or Surveil only to find out I have 2 or 3 seconds left on my CA refresh.

Obnoxious.

Thank you for clearly illustrating this problem of ours. You/we should PM this thread to the devs, I know I will.

unfortunatly this doesnt fix the problem , what we are talking about is icons being tinted when not in stealth

He's correct... Doesn't help. I've look at everything and have yet to find a way to get rid of this. This scout-hating feature isn't a result of Out of Range or Insufficient Power, it's a 3rd reason, showing we can't use those skills because we're not stealthed... But, we don't need it lol, I'm sure we all know why we Couldn't use a stealth skill if we're running arround and a level 4 character can see us.

This has been bugged numerous times in beta and I've brought it up with at least one developer. Apparently some SOE guys don't appreciate it either, so I'm hopeful for a fix.

Rofl So how did this annoying feature make it into the game if some of the SOE people don't even like it?

It probably was not much of an issue towards the beginning of the development cycle.Obviously "ease of coding" is going to be SoEs driving factor on what "fluff" options they were going to include.  Some issues aren't worth spending the work hours to fix or implement...especially when your goal is to compile an MMORPG.Now that its driven some internal testers a bit nuts....I think it might be more of a priority.

You think by now, they'd know to just include an option to turn this kind of stuff off from the beginning.  We know that's what's coming, I don't understand how they thought anyone would like barely being able to tell the difference between a skill that's refreshing and one that requires steatlh -- especially when any scout past level 10 probably knows his skills well enough to know what requires stealth and what doesn't.

I just added a "Tint icons if casting requisites not met" option to turn this off.  It will be checked by default but once unchecked it will ignore any special requirments like being stealthed to attack.

The same happens when you are using your own carpet and take a public carpet to go elsewhere. Once you arrive at the destination, you are unmounted, but the carpet icon in your hotbar remains tainted, as if you were still using it.

this happens to casters too.

when I am casting a spell it's very difficult to tell which of my green back icons are refreshing and which are up.

same for bard and red backed icons (for skills usable in or out of stealth.)

Will this apply to being out of range as well, or just if "other" requirements arent met.... The oor tinting is handy and I dont want to have to turn it off along with the annoying stealth tinting

Range checks will still apply when you have a target selected unless of course you choose to disable that option as well SMILEY

I'm sure this probably is not the proper place to put this request but  while we are on the topic of changing game options for user preferances.  Would it be possible to add a "decline all group/raid invites unless LFG"?  I'm asking this because it becomes real hasle some times when your adventuring in a zone and randomly you will get drive by invites out of no where.  Also its is a common tactic of botters to spam group invites while another persion is adventuring in the same areas as they are to anoy them and preser them to move to somewhere else.I know a person can simply turn 'decline all group invites' on but it would be nice to still be able to decline all group invites unless we are lfg.  Or if thats not possible/desireable it would also be cool that leave the options they way they are except when a player does up of the LFG tag the 'decline all group invites' is disabled.

Looks like this will go live with KoS, as it is the Test patchnotes for LU20b.
