![]() Anyone else notice that if you put a poison on, and you die 5 minutes later, you have to reaply the poison, and it costed you a charge on the poison. is it supposed to be like this? because if it is, then i need to seriously rethink my strategy on poisons, it is almost too expensive to use them when youre in some random pick up group and not sure what the outcome is going to be.

![]() It definitely sucks, and I suggest you /feedback it regularly. I tend to use rare poisons -- I have two alchemist buddies who use all the leftovers from Adept IIIs on me, mwaha -- but I hate the difficult raid nights, I can use up two vials before I ever get a hit in if things aren't going well. Food and drink didn't used to survive death, but they changed that in the spring because players were complaining that it was getting too expensive to die and it was hurting provisioners. I think that the in-game logic for poison surviving death makes twice as much sense as tea surviving death, and I'm tired of losing my T5 rare poisons an hour in. /feedbacking doesn't necessarily change anything, but the more scouts that do it, the bigger a problem it will be perceived to be, at least.

![]() I totally agree.... It really sucks I go through poison too quickly. It is almost a requirement If I want to add value to a group or if I want to solo it is Mandatory. They may have been trying to work on this and it was bugged. I noticed for a while sometimes my Poison would regenerate a usage after I logged off and logged back on. Also I used to be able to use two poisons, now only one. I heard that you can use one Damage and one Debuff but I have not been able to find any Debuff poisons. Any Ideas on those. BTW I'm using Tier 3 and probably will be for a while. Phae

![]() Yes, you can use one damage and one debuff poison at the same time. You'll probably have to find an alchy to commission for the debuff poison, but for example I've used two at the same time: one that does 200 damage upfront with something like 85 DoT, and one that reduces the target's poison mitigation drastically. Legendary poisons account for as much as 50% of all my DPS, when I parse. So we're pretty much made to fight with them, which they don't really make clear early on. Items regaining charges, or neglecting to count them against you, is an old bug -- however, sometimes the hover is just wrong, and when you right-click -> Examine the item, it displays the correct number of charges left. I think it's a display bug, as opposed to a practical bug -- although I used to be able to get a nearly infinite number of charges from a vial of poison, now I can have it read 2/7 and actually be used up, because of the display bug. So I always try to make sure I Examine.

![]() As an alchemist, I'm opposed to poisons staying with you when you die like food. As an assassin, I'm kind of annoyed. There are, in my opinion, a few solutions I could see that would be viable. First off would be lowering the durration on poisons to half hour or an hour and allowing them to stay. Rare poisons last longer than normals, so maybe make them 2 or 3 hours, much like those long lasting foods. This would allow alchemists to still sell poison, but if you die 10 times in less than a few hours, you wouldn't have gone through almost 2 vials. If left at 12 hours and stayed when you died, quite frankly, you could probably buy 1 or two vials to last you until you got to the next tier. I think that would raise the price of poison drasticly. If I could only sell a few vials here and there, I would more than likely charge several gold for one vial since my client base would basically be repeat customers maybe buying once a week at the most. Other idea, make normal poison stay as it is, and legendary poison able to survive past death. That stuff is undoubtedly expencive, I know to make some on my server, it would end up costing some where in the range of 50g to make Tier 3 rare poison. In order to make a profit off of that as well as be able to make more, I'd probably sell them for 25-50g. I've never made rare poison, so I'm unsure of the number of bottles is more than the normal ammount, or if it's still 3 for pristine. If it was more, I'd probably charge less. I don't know how it is on other servers personally, but if I bought some, I would be extremely [Removed for Content] if I had to go through an entire bottle in one day. The other idea would be to increase the number of charges, but that would probably increase the prices on poison since alchemists wouldn't be able to really sell as many.

![]() One thing ive noticed on all posts is we are paying an absolute fortune for our DPS (poisons and arrows), yet do other classes have to do this? Its expensive enough as it is (and I only buy the cheap stuff as I simply cant afford anything more) and you can go through x amount of charges before you even get anywhere if you have a couple of bad pulls and deaths (most annoying).

![]() Ypou actually can pui tup to 3 poisons on at the same time usefully.
1 Damage poison 1 debuff stat poison 1 debuff resistance poison
so for instance: i use a nice upfront damage in XP groups since most things drop b4 the procs, I use the High DOT one for named etc since then end up with more damage in the end. My debuff Stat is usually STR right now but I may do AGI depending on what we are facing. resistance for me is ALWAYS poison. I couple this with Deadfall and Spitting Viper and suddenly the DPS of our groups (I am in an Assassin heavy guild) jumps...have not checked to see if other assassins debuffs stack but I have been with 3 in a group and with a 52 Guardian and 51 Fury and 51 Defiler we pretty much can walk through Hidden Cache without any problems (ok, the gob is but he is lvl 60^^^ so he should be...)

don't bother buying anything but iron arrows. you're combat arts don't take into account the type of arrow, rather the upgrade of your spell. the only time the type of arrow matters is when you are doing bow auto attack, but this is not very dps effective so i wouldn't worry about spending the $$ on tier 4/5 arrows. your purse will thank you :smileyvery-happy:

![]() ok, im glad im not the only one, and yes i will start /feedbacking immeadiatly, and then every time i log in and every time i die. i understand the alchemists pain in this, so reduce the poison duration to 6 hours, dont give us the charge back, but let it stay on the weapon just like food and drink stays. even from a RP perspective, what does dying have to do with you loosing your poison. just because your dead doesnt mean the poison magicaly evaporates. and maybe lower the amount of procs to 150, this keeps everyone happy, and tha alchys can still make their money. |

![]() have you parsed it recently? this was once true but now that to hit calculations have been changed if using lower tier arrows lowers your chance to hit then despite dmg being equal your dps is going to take a nasty hit. i ran the first four days of the week with fulginate arrows, the last 3 with tin. in another day i'll know for sure but wondering if other people have investigated since the revamp. |

That be correct, it does matter what type of arrows u use, if you stroll into SS with iron you might do ok damage but if you use like feyiron I can bet you money you will see a diffrence, this was the same case in pre lu13, if u used iron arrows in EL yes they hit for ok damage but if u used carbonite they did hit for more damage, and yes I tested this and yes it is true, and I also missed more on yellows oranges back then using iron but carbonites almost always landed and did more damage. Personally I use feyiron arrows i buy probablly 10 stacks every couple of days and I use legendary poisons 90% of time and I deal with it, I have been using the new limprovised wep we get at 50 or 51 sometimes but i follow that up with Faltering blast, having a mob half life before it gets to me is worth the cost.

![]() Spitting Viper Deadfall Back up Faltering Blast Paralyzing Strike Go to side Assassins Shot Improvised Weapon *Mask of night *Backshot of choice * = Those rare times the enemy is still held.... Otherwise it seems like just the new version of kiting...I've been using this on prophets/gobs in PoF and the yellow cons are low yellow health by the time the actually get a chance to hit at me. Edit: And I use only two poisons when soloing liek this. I leave out the Stat reducing one because truthfully they never really get a chance to do any damage so why waste the money. I stick with a good DoT as well as the poison mitigation one. Buy opening with Spitting Viper you lower the poison even more and deadfall leaves them wide open to quite a bit of damage. question... is this for Combat Arts you notice this difference? or still just auto-attack? i'm using iron arrows and i still see Assassin's Shot and others hitting for the damage range the CA says it will do (and many times, over that). let me know specifically what you are referring to. thanks

I have been doing ongoing test since the second week of the DoF release and haven't noticed any changes in the way arrow tier affects CA damage. The tier of the arrow does *not* affect my CA damage output. At the same time, while doing these tests with my new ironwood longbow I was pleased to find myself doing over 1000 damage with auto-attack when using crafted indium arrows (this was maybe the 3rd week of DoF release) with only my self-buffs in place and my healer standing by to heal (but instructed not to put up any buffs). This is very respectable damage and for raids where strategy dictates a ranged battle I will definitely have a couple of stacks of indium arrows on hand. Someone up above mentioned that they go thru 10 stacks of feyiron arrows every couple of days. If you are supplementing that with iron arrows you may not be making the most of your ranged attacks. I easily burn through 12 stacks of arrows every session (a raid night, an xp session) and keep at least one box always refilled with arrows when I hit town. I am only buying iron and iron hunting arrows, however, so my costs are fairly low compared to buying feyiron/fulginate/indium/indium hunting from the vendor which tends to be cost prohibitive.

![]() 1 damage (i.e. T5 Anger of Spirits), 1 debuff (i.e. T5 Turbulent Misery), + 1 effect (i.e. T5 Touch of Insanity which is a slow poison) Many alchemists (who aren't even scouts) hate for their customers to lose the poison after death and think it -should- be like food/drink. In my opinion, a lot more scouts would use crafted poisons vs the cheapo NPC ones if they were getting their money's worth. It would be better all around if they did because crafted (and especially rare crafted) does significantly more damage. The refill bug is the bane of alchemists and woodworkers (totems). It's a bug that keeps resurfacing and we keep harping on. It's been back, maybe to stay *sigh*, since, I think, LU #11 or one of it's hot fixes. It seems to be related to when and how something is equipped and unequipped (and I won't say more than that). Alchemists, and I think I can broadly say that all or nearly all, -hate- that there are only 2 activatible slots and yet there are a plethora of items to go in those slots including some tailored ones which give stats if they remain equipped all the time. The only saving grace is that you can equip something, use it, unequip it to re-equip the dolly (or whatever) and the effect of what you used stays up. The new tool tips are nice, but in T6, just to add a new annoyance to alchemists and scouts, poisons are all in the same coloured vials grrrrrr (potions are, too) Oh... and I have started on the T6 updates for EQ2Alchemy. I have descriptions for most of the T6 poisons on at least one of the poison charts. |

![]() My ranged CA's seem to proc just as often as before--still using iron arrows. I'd love to be able to afford better, but I can't. It's the difference between wealth growing slowly and wealth shrinking slowly. On groups of mobs, from behind, my bow shots are still procing like crazy with multiple hits on multiple mobs, with the poison going wild. My only problem is that I get agro often. If I could afford good arrows, I might feel like I was tipping up into Teir 1 damage. But I'm not a parser and I bow to the parsers who say otherwise.
