Has the DEV team ever come out and said why Rangers do not have access to a quiver? Is this something that just slipped through the cracks in the development of the class or is there some evul Dev that loves to see Rangers panic when in the middle of a pull they get the Missing Component message? SMILEY

Yes, I know that it's not that hard to equip arrows every once in a while but it would be nice to see arrows get the same loving that other ranged item does in having their own container so we are not forced to reload every 5 minutes.

As a new Ranger and a relatively new player to the game I am kind of suprised that you guys haven't made more of a stink about not having a Quiver. SMILEY

I feel you there.  Usually I quickly click non-arrow arts, and by the time they both execute I have another stack of arrows loaded.  If u don't already, make sure you have a key that toggles your inventory bags.  After I click the 2 non-arrow arts, I toggle open the bags, double-click a stack of arrows, then toggle the bags closed.  It always adds a little excitement to the battle when I have to reload arrows.  Anyway, I do wish they would auto-load...

It would be sweet if we could create a macro button that would reload arrows.  I don't think it can be done though.   Any macro wizards out there know the secret to make this happen?

This comes up from time to time.  In my opinion, a stack of 99 arrows *is* a quiver and reloading is very simple. You can also see these these threads for additional previous discussion: http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=39&message.id=12627 http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=39&message.id=10646 Edit: Made links work.

Why are there range slot containers for throwing stars and throwing axes but not arrows? 99 Arrows is a nice amount of arrows don't get me wrong  and yes I know that reloading is pretty easy but it is also very annoying especially for a RANGED class!

In EQ1 we had a Quiver that held (I believe) 600 arrows, it didn't matter after we got the Endless Quiver AAXP ability but it was nice to have a place to stick your arrows and have them reload. Yes, I know that EQ1 and EQ2 are different games but it is very annoying having to manage your arrow supply and I have already been bitten by the whole "Missing Component" problem several times now. SMILEY

I just don't see why we as a class shouldn't be pushing for a quiver especially when other ranged weapons have their own containers already.

I think you may be misunderstanding the use of the containers for the other ranged weapons. Those are meant as an equivalent to bows. They determine the damage and stat bonuses of ranged arts in the same way in which bows do. They don't allow a character to carry any more of a given ranged weapon than the existing slot of 99 does.

With regards to the idea of changing that number, or adding a quiver that automatically reloads our active ranged ammo slot, I'm mixed. Yes, it could be a nice addition, but there are some other much more serious problems in the game that need to be addressed before something like this is. Also, the skeptic in me thinks that if/when they do change something like that, it won't actually work right until a couple months after it's been added to the game.
