Has anyone went down the aa line of

Shield usage. Not only for shield bash but for double attack and block. I know like swashies swear by their single handed aa line that lets them double attack. How does ours compare to theirs? Just curious. I have respected a few times and the next one will cost me 10pp. I really liked the posion aa and shield bash but recently went down the line for DKTM. I just wonder for a pvp server if posion aa plus the added parry then shield bash plus block and double attack wouldnt be better. I guess I'm really trying to find a good pvp mold to fall in for my dirge.

i am only lvl 51 right now and on a pve server. i like the stamina line i went down it to help my survivabilty when soloing. right now its what works best for me but doesnt mean i wont change it once i get full 50 aa's in the first set. We see what happens. just trying to get to t7 level right now so i do alot of soloing which it seems there less in t6 on my server to group with.

Ive used both specs, and they differ in a few different ways:Shield + 1hander is definatly better for the kiting dirge. It used to be the only way to go when double attack worked with range weapons. Shield bash gave you an extra stun to use while kiting, and you could pretty much range people to death with double attack. This is not the case anymore. When you have this spec youll rarley use auto attack in pvp except for dire situations. But it will give you a nice PvE increase in dps. Overall i enjoyed this spec and its very reliable. Agility is just more dmg. Of course youll have to dual wield with it, and use a dagger in primary. I switched to this spec for poison, mainly because double attack didnt effect bows anymore and the poison AA does. + 8 into parry gives you the same avoidance as a shield would have, so you dont lose much avoidence like some people tend to think. The Poison gives a nice dmg boost to melee and ranged attack. With Luck of the dirge + Tomb aa just about every range attack i use procs tombs and poison AA. When bow kiting during a pvp fight it comes in handy.

Only one thing to mention there is that block % is uncontested, so in most cases (not on even level pvp encounters) blocking is superior to parrying.

I pvp with stamina line myself, primarily for the resists found on many high end shields, as well as round bash and the uncontested block chance, awsome for rangers and their crazy ranged buffs. With things out like Shield of the White Dragon and the stun shield from Mistmore Castle, I wouldn't part with my shield for the world. Plus if I can ever get the Right Hand of the Priestess, CoB will be nasty as hell.Besides, I like looking unique :smileytongue:
