The beta-patch notes mention updating charm, have they revised troub-charm yet? Anybody have any details if they have?

On beta charm now lasts for 2 min 30 sec at app 1 .. charms heroics too .. but takes 1 concentration .. has resistsed everytime ive casted it lol.. could see how this could be useful if the mob stayed charmed the full duration

Mez now has a 9 sec recast and a 40 sec duration at master1  its very nice!!

excellent, thanks for the update! If/when it actually works could you post an update & let us know if you can actually give the mob orders? Send it into combat?

Before they changed the spell .. it worked as intended (breaking on any other command except follow)  my guess is it wont attack, but act like an extra long mez

Also thanks for the information update.

My two questions:

1) What is the recast timer? (specifically, can you chain cast it to keep your pet)

2) What happens if you charm a creature and walk it far away from it's home area? Does the encounter break once the charm wears off? (specifically, can you use it to pull a specific mob out of a dangerous area)

Regardless, 2 1/2 minutes is a lot better than 12 seconds (1150% better). Thanks for the beta report!

Rofl got this to work and have to say its very nice...

Charmed a lvl 53 ^^ mob in a group of 3.  Other 2 were ^ .. mezzed one of the adds .. attacked the last one.. when the non charmed/mezzed add attacked me the charmed mob helped me by attacking as well.  When told to attack the charm breaks saying "Your pet refuses to obey".

The charm is slow casting ..something around 4 seconds .. but very fast recast time

5 Seconds actually. I use it when soloing group mobs. Put some distance between me and them and usually the charm is off by just moments after they reach me. its a situational use spell. I have used it in some situations and have been very thankful for it. Allowed me to do some things I couldnt do without it. However dont expect it to be useful always.

with all buffs being reduced to 1 conc and the variety of buffs it's more common to have one conc slot sparse. additionally mezz doesn't requires conc anymore.troubs are now able to charm/mezz group encounters effectively. charm the big harm, mezz the poor rest ^^
