I posted this in the Gameplay Discussion as well but was recommended to post it here specifically for the "Swashie" crowd...

I have a question about the Alternate Achievements...

These are the point allotments I'm planning on taking for my Ratongan Swashbuckler...

Are these choices in any way "gimped" or better off elsewhere?

Pick Pocket - 1 pt

Strength Line:
Blackguard's Strength - 8 pts
Torporous Strike - 4 pts
Blackguard's Defense - 4
Blackguard's Luck - 7 pts

Agility Line:
Pirate's Agility - 8 pts
Walk the Plank - 4 pts
Commandeer - 6 pts

Stamina Line:
Mercenary's Stamina - 8 pts

Some odd choices there, but it's largely a matter of playstyle- if this works for you, then go for it. . Some things I noticed:Why take comandeer to 6? Seems that you should either put the 2 points into the next level for the new toy, I don't think you'l notice the extra runsepeed, particulalry out of combat.Agi and str will require weapon swapping if you wish to use both of the level 2 abilities.  toporous requires a sword, agi requires a rapier. Most people face this complication in one way or another, so it's not a big deal, just be aware of it.Str is very easy to cap. I would take 1 point out of the str boosting aa (if not 4) and get the last level of blackgaurds luck for the crit boost. No sense in not maxing it out.The main thing about aa's is that they bring in flavor to classes, they arne't going to [Removed for Content] you no matter what you pick.

I would recommend against taking any of the stat increasers past 4. Except for looking nice on your persona window the increase in anything isn't that big, and in my eyes, they are kinda "boring" compared to some of the other abilities (Avast ye for agi line and crit increase for STR)

what is it that you are doing with the character? small group/solo I suspect from the line up of choices. Raiding? Solo only?

Regardless of what you plan to do with your character I agree with Sanamien. To me, putting more points into any of the abilities is better than raising a stat(s) past rank 4.

if you are duel wielding i would suggest this setup unless you wanted str/Traumatic Swipe. if you do stumble upon a nice fabled one hander i might switch to WIS if you ahve the points. But honestly duel wielding seems just as effective as 1h to me.

It looks like he is soling more. Is traumatic swipe really that useful in small groups and soloing?

Traumatic Swipe is a raid tool and thats about it. No way it will ever be worth 8 points to anyone outside a raid.
