![]() Hello. A while back I used to very interested in the lore of Everquest, particularly that of the Gods. I remember there used to be a webpage that described various EQ pantheons in detail. One god's description however was never very detailed and it's led me down a frustrating road. The Seventh hammer. I know this deity is loosely connected (Or maybe strongly, no idea) To the Tribunal and justice, but I need to know some specifics. What is this being's role in the universe. What is this god's sphere of influence. Is it a patron of justice or judges? If so what is it's exact relationship to the Tribunal. Why do worshippers pay it homage and what is it's significance and importance if any. I remember reading that it was somehow considered a "heavenly judge". I have many flawed theories and none of them make sense. It could really help my char's Rp and background if anyone can speculate or even shed some light on any of the questions above or any opinion or at all. Thanks for reading

The Seventh Hammer is known as the baliff and executioner for the Tribunal. From what I understand, he pretty much just carries out the judgements for the Tribunal.

![]() Yeah he's a God who's duty is to obey the orders of the other gods.... As already mentioned, he's the Ballif to the 6 Hammers, and caries out sentences of the guilty.

Since there's no true deity that represents Death, I liken the Seventh Hammer to that. But rather than being the indiscriminate killer like in some religions, he's more like as has been described here. Or, perhaps more like Death from the Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser books by Fritz Leiber. He's given a specific quota by the Lords of Necessity (in this case, The Tribunal), and he carries it out, with rather clinical precision.Just my thoughts on it.

![]() As has been mentioned, the 7th Hammer is baliff and executioner. He's also the tie breaker. If the Tribunal is hung ( 3 vote one way, 3 against) the 7th Hammer passes the final vote. Also, there is a goddess (or some would call her spirit) of death, Drinal, the Silver Reaper. Her counterpart is Ehayae, Matron of the Dawn, who embodies the spirit of birth, and rebirth. Unfortunately, that's about all the information I've been able to find on them, I've been meaning to ask Vhalen or any of the other lore devs if they had any more information on these two, as well as a few others.
