Lady Vox/Vision of Vox

Simple question:

How was Lady Vox killed?

I have heard many different things.. what I read was the goblins of permafrost revolted and took her down.. others say another un-named dragon killed her...

Any answers/links?

According to some lore book ("The age of cataclysms"), Vox was killed by a dragon named the Truthbringer, who used Drakotas to kill her. You can read it here.

In Qeynos there is a Barb NPC who talks about life in Halas before everything was destroyed. He talks about how one day everything grew really quite and eerie around the Ice Dragons Cave and they sent out a group of adventurers to see what had happend. As they entered the caves the smell of death overwhelmed them. As moved towards the Lady Vox all of the goblins and giants were dead, nothing remained alive. When they finally made it to Lady Vox the NPC talked about how it was the most horrible thing he had ever seen. Looking in disbelief he talked about how Lady Vox was dead and her eggs had been hatched. Her eggs were to hatch Prismatic Dragons so one could assume that there are quite a few prismatic dragons in the world somewhere now. Only the future will reveal where.

[FaarNerfed!] those Drakotas. ;.; I loved Lady Vox, she's apart of my character's back story too.

In EQOA, you had to solve the Sphinx's riddles to gain access to the Plane of the Sky, and some of the riddles had to do with defeating the dragons. ;.; Vox was one of them.

I hope she gets ressurected somehow. ;.;

This has some info, I can't say I agree with all of it being true, it may (or may not?) be official, but some of it is definately presented as only being theory. Here is my commentary on it:

I. Veeshan

My understanding is Trakanon was actually relatively young when he started his crusade against the Iksar, regardless, he definately HATED the iksar. I persoanlly dounbt he was resurrected.

II. Kildrukaun and The Council of Elders

This is Kildrukaun (In EQ1) My undersatnding mirrors this. It was NOT veeshans decree that dragons of different colors mate, but it was his, and his alone, as *High Priest* to Veeshan.

IV. The Sleeper

Vox and Nagafen are NOT the parents of Kerafym. Why they are mentioned here I don't know, the only relevance is they wanted to mate. I'm not sure who Kerafym's mother is, but his father IS still alive.

As some people may know, the Plane of Valor, in EQ1 had a prismatic dragon also.

it may be that Drakota is / are of this dragon or somehow *planar* dragons. This is just a theory.

However, it's a fact that Mithaniel has access to at least 2 dragons, both in the planes. I'm not aware of them having any alliance with the Ring of Scale, in fact most other `Dar dragons I know of were Claws Of Veeshan aligned.

The final Hallmark quest you get at 50 has alot to do with Lady Vox's death. It is stated that she was slain by the "Truthspeaker" because of her involvement with Nagafen in creating a SINGLE prizmatic dragon egg. Nagefen was also attacked by this "Truthspeaker" and its Drakota, but was able to barely escape into Soluseks Eye.

The Truthspeaker is actually a Dragon named Darathar. I'd tell you more about him but i dont wanna spoil the quest for those that havent yet completed it.

Lady Vox was slain by a dragon whose name escapes me. He was also called the Truthbringer, as many have said already. This was punishment for Lord Nagafen and Lady Vox mating and producing a legendary prismatic dragon. The Truthbringer went after Nagafen and almost killed him, but the Drakota could not be used and Nagafen was able to escape with his life. It is said in lore that the formally veiled moon, Luclin, exploded because of the mating. Nagafen still roams somewhere in Norrath to this day. Many think that he dwells currently in the Feerott, but that has not been proven.Offtopic: Reposado = Reposado/Thorny from PPO on EOQA?

Kerafyrm the sleeper is not the child of Vox and Nagafen because kerafyrm the sleeper was the child of dozeker the cursed in the temple of veeshan. I know this because right as soon as you kill a few dragons around Temple of Veeshan and Western Wastes they sometimes speak of the sleepers power and that a cursed dragon in the temple of veeshan(Dozeker) and another dragon had mated. However the mother of the sleeper was not mentioned much. But for certain i can say dozeker is the father of kerafyrm. As for Trakanon he led a force of dragons against sebilis and the countering Iksars. Trakanon was NEVER killed but he escaped death and poisened and sieged the city of Sebilis. Trakanon was kicked out of the Ring of Scale but also brang some young dragons and drakelings with him whom he corrupted. Jaled Dar the former and now dead ruler of the ring of scale opposed war with the iksars and prefered to live in peace but trakanon differed and influenced many young dragons to fly with him to Kunark and destroy sebilis. It was here when Jaled Dar sent a dragon (i cant recall his name) to stop trakanon but the dragon fell on the field of bones by trakanon and trakanon took over old sebilis but at the end of the battle he was weakened and eternaly poisened. He was a blue dragon originally but turned green. So now you know the truth of Trakanon, but seeing as how some lore has changed kerafyrm can be the child of vox and nagafen which i definately doubt. I say Dozeker is his father. But yes maybe nagafen and vox have a drakeling or drakelings still unheard of.I dont really know darather also known as the truthspeaker or truthbringer because i never met him in eq1 but yes i do think he might have killed lady vox and now is after lord nagafen.

Vox was killed by Drakota in the employ of Darathar, the self-titled "Truthbringer".

He also goes by another name, but you'll have to do the draconic quests to learn the truth ;>.

TreablaBB its not dragons of different colors its dragons of different elements. Colors dont matter because if you see that sapara family of dragons they dont all look alike or are the same colors. Also the Dar family because not all of jaled dar and harla dars children looked alike.

I simply pointed to a reference that expanded on Kildruakaun's prophecy and pointed to a reference that demonstrates Aerin'Dar was not the same type of dragon as Kerafyrm.
